Anyone easing into aged sipping rum will find plenty to like here: caramel, vanilla and a marzipan-almond sweetness with just a light touch of wood. A few tasters call it a nice entry aged rum, though at 40% it reads soft and a little thin. One noted it turns slightly medicinal and roasty on the finish. Pleasant and easy rather than deep.

A medium sweet rum with a light touch of wood. The fruits, spices and caramel put a nice backbone into this rum. Unfortunately the price, when compared to the 15 year old, is a bit steep.
