Nelson Estates Limited Lord Nelson Jamaica Rum
Opinions here land in a friendly middle: pleasant and drinkable, but a touch too tame for a Jamaican. It's an old, gentler style than today's Hampden bombs — honey, ripe banana, caramelized sugar and a whiff of glue over cedar and light smoke. Several tasters call it creamy and filigree, one blind-guessing Rockley; the recurring gripe is a thin body and a profile that stays a little safe.

😊 Nr. 5 Wunderbarer Rum. Obwohl verdünnt dennoch komplex. Banane mit Honig. Toll.

A rum from the "Niki's und Arturs Jamaiksnische Aventurien Teil 2" series. Here we recognize a Jamaican rum with yellow fruit, ripe banana, smoke and wood. On the palate, there's a hint of honey and cedar wood (cigar box). The finish is long, with a light bitterness on top. An easier, more consensual rum.

Very nice find. Aged and complex profile.

Again these honey, glue notes in the nose. Then wood on the palate. Most comparable to watery modern Monymusks. Clearly more modern style than the other rums from the 50s in the tasting.
