Sixteen years in ex-bourbon oak give roasted coconut, buttered caramel on toast, milk chocolate and boozy dried fruit, with cinnamon and a touch of ginger. #6904 10.06.2026 Relaxing with a few samples after picking up my wife from work. Watching the TV series Evil Lives Here on HBO. To me a pretty good Foursquare with a very good price tag. Nice and fruity profile with coffee, light salt, spice and light roated wood with some pastries.

Un Foursquare classique et chaleureux. Dès le début, la rondeur du nez s'installe sur le caramel beurré sur sa tranche de pain légèrement grillé, accompagné d'un chocolat au lait et de fruits secs confits. La coco grillée est bien présente. Une note de poussière de bois scié comme dans une scierie encore en activité. En bouche, de suite le fût de bourbon développe un beau boisé toasté et caramélisé, de la cannelle, de la vanille aussi et un soupçon de gingembre qui passe par là. On retrouve le lait chocolaté et les fruits secs à l'alcool. C'est gourmand et généreux. Une finale épicée, suivie de senteurs de cuir de fauteuil au coin du feu et de boîte à cigare déjà ouverte. Alcool très bien intégré au nez, un peu moins en bouche. Un beau 16 ans d'âge d'un single cask bien ficelé. PS : après oxydation et ouverture de plusieurs mois, toujours cette très belle combinaison de cacao/chocolat/coco/caramel bien gourmande. En solde autour des 80-90€, c'est un excellent rapport qualité prix. PS2 : pas mal d'alcool en bouche finalement malgré la bouteille ouverte depuis 1 an.

Un bon représentant de Foursquare sélectionné par la Famille Ricci.. Le nez est assez standard dans ce qui est agréable dans cette distillerie : beaucoup de coco, pas mal d'épices et de boisé, juste ce qu'il faut en fruits secs. La bouche confirme que le vieillissement de 16 ans a laissé une bonne empreinte de fût dans le rhume. Là encore sans surprise avec beaucoup de copeaux de coco, de vanille et d'épices d'hiver. Un standard mais un peu cher.

Goûté au RF2023 donc dégustation sommaire. Un pur FS gourmand, avec son caramel sa coco, des notes vanillées/boisées mais avec du caractère tout de même.
