Rum Runner Diamond SV 2011
Well-liked but not worshipped — most tasters land on "solid Diamond you can't go wrong with" rather than a stunner. The nose runs deep and spicy: cocoa, coffee, toasted oak, caramelised tropical fruit and a floral lift. The palate turns dark and nutty with a caramel edge. At 63.7% the alcohol sits surprisingly well-integrated, but several note the finish fades faster than the proof promises.

How does Rum Runner Diamond SV 2011 taste?
Aggregated from 12 community reviews.
Dark, roasted Diamond that plays it classic A textbook Demerara Diamond — dark, roasted, cleanly made — that most enjoy but few remember. The recurring gripe is a short finish and a lack of complexity for the ABV.

A pretty good Diamond, with a pleasant interplay of flavors. Not really outstanding, but definitely good to sip! The alcohol is well integrated, but I personally feel it lacks a bit of complexity, which prevents it from reaching higher heights

A nice surprise among Rum Runner's releases. The nose is very fragrant, with beautiful spicy, woody and roasted flavors that combine for a good dose of gourmandise. Exotic fruits and floral notes play spoilsport and add freshness. A very aromatic and pleasant profile. The palate is very unctuous. The fruitiness of coconut, papaya and dried fruit returns, while the darker side gradually takes over with notes of tobacco, coffee, chocolate, vanilla, nutmeg and toast. The oak is well blended and the alcohol very well integrated. The profile remains tasty throughout. The finish is a little drier and more tannic, but lingers on with the greediness of Demerara rums, both expressive and full-bodied. A very good modern-day Diamond.
