Yellow orchard fruit leads here — quince, pear and green apple — wrapped in toasty light oak, caramelized citrus and a touch of dark chocolate. It's a dry, oily 15-year Beenleigh at full 67% cask strength, and most tasters find the heat surprisingly well tucked in. A few note a slightly metallic edge on the finish, but the fruit-and-wood balance wins people over.

#4071 This is a nicely balanced release with a nice touch of wood with a light roasted note. Fruits and spice go hand in hand and the ABV is pretty well integrated.

Bottle Market Bremen October 2024. Here's a really great Australian that we picked up on the way out. The nose is predominantly woody and spicy, but some caramel can also be detected. Pleasant sweetness on the palate, vanilla and caramel, plus some wood. Top.

Similar to Rum club Australia, just a little more green apple here and a little less citrus. Good but not a complexity monster either. The typical aromas of pear, green apple, honey and caramel are definitely present.

The somewhat restrained nose gives no hint of the explosion of flavors that will unfold in the mouth. Led by bitter, caramelized Amalfi lemon, there is a full broadside of yellow fruit with lots of quince, pear and apple in combination with toasty, light wood aromas and a floral undertone of elderflower. The 67% is also excellently integrated and creates an intense, oily mouthfeel. A very good Beenleigh!

Sehr schöner Australier. Geruch ist röstig und fruchtig. Der Geschmack ist fruchtig, holzig mit leichter Süsse. Der Abgang ist mittelmäßig lang. Dunkele Schokolade, leicht nussig und ein bisschen Fass kommt durch.

Et stærkt glas som skal have lov til at udvikle sig. Der er masser af kraft på smagen - Bourbon fadet giver den bløde afrundet duft og smag af karamel i baggrunden. Klart anbefalelsesværdig

Heute 5 Australier im Glas. 1. Rum Club 14 yr: hellfruchtig, am Gaumen sehr präsent mit mittellangen Abgang. 84 Pkt. 2. Rom Deluxe no. 40 15yr: Schon ganz anders, als der erste Rum Club. Wesentlich trockener. Ebenfalls sehr fruchtig, wobei die Früchte hier eher dunkel beerig sind. Der Abgang ist leider etwas mettalisch. 85 Pkt. 3. Rum Club no. 40 16 yr: Ähnlich qie der erste Rum Club, nur mit mehr Holz und wesentlich trockener. Wenn auch nicht so trocken, wie der Rom Deluxe. Finde den Alkohol hier nicht gut eingebunden. 80 Pkt. 4. RA 2007 15 yr: Ähnelt vom Profil dem ersten Rum Club sehr durch seine dominanten hellen Früchte. Bei diesem Rum jedoch viel intensiver und komplexer. Ein absolutes Feuerwerk, was hier am Gaumen abgeht! Aprikose, Mirabelle und Pfirsisch in einer so intensiven Form ist beeindruckend. Wäre der Abgang etwas länger wäre das ein grandioser Rum. Aber auch so sehr gut! 88 Pkt. 5. Ferroni 2013: Absolut nicht vergleichbar mit den Kollegen. Total fassgetrieben. Sehr intensiv am Gaumen mit dunklen Früchten, nassem Holz und Leder. Wer Rums mit sehr starkem Fasseinfluss mag, hat hier einen perfekten Begleiter für den Abend am Feuer gefunden. Mir gefällt er auch. 81 Pkt. Die prägnante Trockenheit vom Rom Deluxe finde ich klasse. Ein Stück Wüste im Mund =D Ebenfalls hebt er sich etwas von den anderen ab, durch seine dunklen Früchte. Die beiden RC und der RA sind am besten vergleichbar, wobei hier der RA für mich mot großem Abstand der Beste ist.
