Solid Belize but a little too sweet. It almost seems sweetened, even though this style often has a lot of caramel aromas, but overall it's a bit too much of a good thing and too one-dimensional for me. Hence slight deductions.

24.02.2024 Great tasting event at Whisky Watcher with food and lots of bottles. Retasting and I stick to the score. ----------------------- #4070 Another really nice release. Nice and fruity with nice spices complemented by fruit and lovely caramel notes.

It definitely packs a punch. My first rum from Belize, and what can I say, I really like this sweetness without being sweet. You can taste the influence of the oak barrel here, but I really like it as a counterpart to the sweetness. Otherwise, lots of coconut, vanilla, and after a while, dates. It's rather sharp on the palate, but that's probably due to the 65.4% ABV, which could have been integrated a little better here. But that's complaining on a high level. A profile that definitely deserves more attention from me.

The third tasting of the night at Whisky Watcher the 24th of February 2024, with nice company. Powerful in the taste, but a very well integrated alcohol. I got dried fruit and plum in the nose, and dried fruits, vanilla and chocolate in the notes

This is a classic Belize rum with its distinct combination of coconut, vanilla, cocoa, and raisins. However, an intense but never overwhelming oak barrel comes into play here, giving it a noticeable degree of maturity. Despite the high alcohol content, no water is needed to enjoy this fine drop.

Rather unusual Belize. Very complex and versatile. Overall, this one is a little too woody for me. However, some aromas come to the fore with a very layered finish, which I really like.

The color - between orange and brown.. The smell- cocoa, vanilla, caramel, orange… The taste- well, that’s what I like- multiple layers of taste - from dry, woody, to fruits (oranges) till medium long aftertaste with pepper tones..and of course cocoa.. everyone will find something which likes…it doesn’t remind me other Belize I have tasted. The taste is quite strong, but not harsh, more like powerful, warm..

Le nez est expressif, gourmand : caramel, vanille, miel, fleurs. En bouche l'alcool est bien présent. L aromatique montre des notes douces, fondues et polies de bois exotiques, de fruits mûrs, de caramel, de torréfaction. Texture grasse, huileuse. Un beau rhum avec l'alcool un peu présent cependant.
