"Sure this is not a whisky?" — that's the running joke here, and it's fair. Several tasters get malty bread, pear, apple and vanilla with a light ginger edge, more like a gentle whisky than a rum. The nose is the best part; the palate turns thin and watery, and the finish barely shows up. Pleasant, easy, but nothing to chew on.

Endlich Zeit, einen von den Underdogs zu tasten. Der Rum ist gar nicht mal so verkehrt und hätte bei ein paar Prozenten mehr richtig Potenzial. So bleibt leider nur die Nase als positivstes Merkmal. Am Gaumen ist er viel zu leicht und dünn , die Aromen, die durchaus vorhanden sind, kommen dadurch nicht richtig zur Geltung. Der Abgang ist extrem kurz

Sure this not a Whisky you have sampled here zabo? I like the malty notes accompanied by pears, apples, ginger, vanilla and toasted bread. Sure, it is not overly complex but I find it pleasant and really balanced. Not a dram you would spend long thoughts on, but it is a nice companion to pour a second glass while doing something else.

Underdog #6 For 40€ this would be a great thing. But for the 65-80€ it costs, it's too flat for me. Not recognizable at all and quite watery. But no off-notes either, so you can drink it. The finish is virtually non-existent.

First impression: Nice sipper without rough edges, not a high-flyer, but not a total flop either. For the 65€ as an underdog it's okay, but nothing more. For me, it's more suitable as a mixer. But there are better ones out there too.

Solider Blend ohne Ecken und Kanten. Im positiven wie im negativen Sinne - angenehm zu trinken, aber auch nur bedingt fordernd.
