Distillerie Moux Tamure Rhum La Danse de l’Ours (Brut de Colonne) 2021
Sipped neat in tiny pours, this cask-strength cane-juice rum drinks far softer than its 80.4% suggests — several tasters swear it feels closer to 65. Expect pressed sugarcane, green vegetal notes, hay and a strong grappa-like fruit-brandy character, with toasted nuts and citrus underneath. One reviewer summed it up as a "voyage au soleil": intense, sweet-edged and genuinely unusual.

How does Distillerie Moux Tamure Rhum La Danse de l’Ours (Brut de Colonne) 2021 taste?
Aggregated from 17 community reviews.
Grappa-like cask-strength cane juice, oddly gentle Atypical, powerful cane-juice rum that hides its 80% remarkably well. Most love the grappa-like, vegetal intensity; a couple find the acetone a touch much. Best in small doses.

Review by Arnaud Faverjon
Superb brut de colonne, with a rather particular nose but a crazy sweetness, a real ultra concentrated pressed cane juice, a real trip to the sun.
Review by Émile Shevek
The nose is explosive and delicious, with intense hints of custard, butter, then citrus and slightly earthy/vegetal/floreal notes. Similar to the Bologne Black Cane. In the mouth it melts proving 20 degrees down giving room for roasted hazelnuts and citrus to make itself felt recalling a bit of a grape spirit. All in an 'extreme underlying sweetness and softness. In the empty pastry glass. This is a treat that positively amazed me. 80 degrees and not feeling it!
Review by TheJackDrop
Une expérience intéressante et évolutive. Premier bon point. Atypique clairement.
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Unusually strongly reminiscent of grappa. Alcohol relatively well integrated. In the daiquiri it reminds of artichoke, salt, thyme and licorice. Extra points for the high alcohol content which surprisingly does not hurt much😅.
Review by Djehey
De beaux aires d'eau de vie de fruit. Passionnant à petite dose !
Review by Johannes
More on the salty side in terms of taste. A little too much acetone for me, but the alcohol is well integrated for the high alcohol content.
