Samaroli is always a master at deciding what to bottle! Although this rum does not have a high alcohol content it has a remarkable intensity and persistence! I would have given it a higher score but it has a bitter part that is a bit too intrusive for my taste!

I am confused. There is lots of Martinique in the smell, but pure Guayana in taste. Unfortunately with 46% is the taste pretty weak

Really great nose with fruit, spices and wood. In the mouth too diluted, very thin and woody. Nose holds up in the line-up and that’s the main reason for the relatively high score. 31/12/24: very “Demerara” in the profile with the wood aspect dominating. Burnt sugar, a lot of charred wood and a coffee like bitterness in the finish, but it last for some time. Some depth in the profile but rather one dimensional. It would probably have benefited from a higher ABV. Happy that there was enough left from the sample for this second assessment as the first one was in a large line-up with a lot of more powerful rums.

This was also a nice rum though not one with a bang. I guess a higher ABV would have suite this one a bit better. Fruity with nice spices and overall good balance between the elements. I made a note that the empty glass had a stronger roasted note almost like burnt as well as a mix of pastries.
