Un rhum extrêmement intéressant car très original du faite de son blend d'une grosse mélasse Jamaïquaine (WP) qui est sublimée de deux pur jus, un de Martinique (colonne du Simon) et un de l'île Maurice (Saint Aubin) tout ça fini en fût de vin cuit Ce blend nous offre donc énormément de fruits passés au solvant (presque eau de vie) avec plein d'épices et un côté funky métallique, les purs jus sont la pour nous donner leurs fraîcheur et leur côtés végétale. La finition en fût de vin cuit vien apporte un côté fermenté et vineux a tout ça, ce qui n'est pas pour nous déplaire. Excellent !

Ohhh un overproof de Ferroni, ça doit être super ! Ah oui, mais non… la faute à un alcool mal intégré et omniprésent. On dirait qu’il est à 80+ c’est dommage car les fruits sont là, petit menthol, une certaines fraîcheur, petite pointe métallique qui ne dérange pas, mais ça fait très mal au crâne et au palais…

Alkohol sehr scharf. Aber mit 74% ist das nicht verwunderlich. Eher junges Destillat. Ein paar Jahre mehr hätten nicht geschadet. Ein bisschen von beiden Welten Melasse und Cane juice.

8,3:What a funky nose! We're teleported directly to Jamaica and the cane sugar, very intense, thick, mineral has made the trip with us. The exotic fruits are very ripe, swimming in plum or pear schnapps. The red fruits are concentrated and greedy, as in a lightly sweetened grenadine syrup. The sugar is nevertheless powerfully expressed, but more through its cooking aromas. There are, of course, some heavy olive and resinous notes, even boiled egg notes, so a bit sulphurous, perhaps nitrogenous... On aeration, the profile doesn't seem to deviate much from its trajectory. But by some magic, in the blink of an eye, we find ourselves with an agricultural rum in the glass! Cane, lime zest, a touch of pepper, nuts as walnut, but what's happened? The cane schnapps is even very charming, and then the two styles gradually come together, it's superb and it's completely crazy... As the final addition, we could dig up even fruit schnapps notes!? 8:On the palate, the attack is typical of Jamaican overproofs, very fruity, concentrated but round. The honeyed cane with dark chocolate confirms this roundness, and the two rums complement each other extremely well. The synergy is perfect. The candied, honeyed just-peppered cane, mineral with licorice and the very ripe fruit come together, embrace and then drift apart, before starting again. 7,8:In the finale, the Jamaican monster has the elegance to let the pretty farmer express himself...

Une bonne canne à sucre présente du début à la fin, soutenue par une finition en fût de vin cuit que l'on ressent très bien. Le tout est assez sec et frais, manquant peut être un peu de vieillissement. Très bon rapport qualité prix ceci dit.
