Trois Rivières Rhum Cuvée de l‘Océan
Sip it neat or build it into a daiquiri — either way the hook is that salty, iodine edge, like fresh sugarcane with a sea breeze blowing over it. Grassy, vegetal and floral with citrus and a little pepper, all at an easy 42%. Several tasters call the briny, almost oyster-friendly side the surprise that won them over.

How does Trois Rivières Rhum Cuvée de l‘Océan taste?
Aggregated from 125 community reviews.
Salty, grassy white agricole with iodine twist A well-liked, low-proof white agricole loved for its unusual iodine-and-salt profile. Some find it too soft and wish it hit harder; mixers say it shines in a daiquiri.

02.10.2016 - 03.10.2016 A great extended weekend with rum friends. This was a nice event and lots of space between the tables. Only problem was the level of English at some of the exhibitors. Here are the rums we tasted at the event itself, nothing truly unique but we had fun. This is the second half of the tastings. Notes Transparent in colour. Nose Fresh, Agricole, grass, floral, sugarcane, light citrus. Palate Fresh, round, pineapple, citrus, light floral, vanilla, light caramel, grass, medium dry. Finish Medium long, fresh, fruity, light caramel, medium dry.

Rum that I did not like at all bad smell and bad taste.

A quite smooth Agricole Blanc with the saltiness, from the sea where the cane grows, is very present in a nice way. Got a sample of it as a birthday gift from my children together with some other bottles.

A massive weapon of seduction in a Daiquiri. Lack of watts for a Ti Punch. Shaken with shellfish, yum.

Well, it's not easy being a rum drinker. First great esters from Jamaica, then great dark rums from Guyana and then suddenly an unpeated Agricole :) But it's also ok, very herbal, fresh and grassy. Typical unpeated Agricole.
Review by Golden Hind
Very good and interesting Agricole with surprising, almost Sushi-esk, fishy, salty, umami hints.
Review by TheRhumhoe
A white agricultural rum with an original profile, driven by floral, earthy, iodized and spicy notes, followed by a touch of tropical fruit and citrus. On the palate, the spices and pepper bring a certain dryness, which is offset by a slightly fatty, gourmet texture. The finish continues in the same vein, with iodine, vegetal, minty and salty notes. An inexpensive rum that stands out from the crowd.

With vegetable notes, canned corn, slightly savory, marine and sweet. Great in a Daiquiri!

An interesting agricole, with salinity, minerality, grassy vegetal notes and a fun cherry twizzlers finish.

Kopie moravske palenky. Vonave, merunkove, "not a rum". Chutove vyvazene a zaoblene, ALE not for me.

La bouteille est amusante… le breuvage est fin et vegetal.. on baigne dans la canne fraiche… avec un légé parfum d’embruns…. Un bon goût de rhum agricole… avec une délicate touche de surprise… l’iode…

Possibly my favorite low proof, entry level agricole so far. It’s surprisingly complex; briny, medicinal, and slightly floral upfront, followed by more traditional bright, grassy flavors, and finishing out with stonefruit and a little bit of spice. It has a nice texture as well, by no means thin despite being only 42%. With sugar and lime it makes a respectable Ti’ punch, although I find it better served in other, heftier cocktails—it makes a very pleasant, balanced daiquiri.

Cocktail flavors: lime and salt. Only drawback seems like low proof.

Le goût iodé et légèrement salé, pour les huîtres et les fruits de mer, c'est vraiment sympa À ce prix là, il a une vraie valeur ajoutée !

Franchement intéressant pour un rhum blanc, ce côté iodé est surprenant.
