Une très belle surprise qui permet de découvrir le terroir corse. En raison du processus de fermentation, on ressent immédiatement au nez les traces phénoliques et de fruits exotiques trop mûrs typiques des rhums de Jamaïque. Les arômes boisés, épicés et légèrement rôtis se font une place dans le décor, accompagnés par quelques traces de fleurs. Une très belle expression sur le plan olfactif. En bouche, le rhum se veut ample et expressif, toujours porté par ce funk atypique et les notes florales et herbeuses. On ressent également une trace d’alcool en raison du vieillissement en fût de vin corse. L’ensemble est très équilibré, cohérent et terriblement facile à boire. La finale se veut assez longue, légèrement tannique et caramélisée, très imprégnée par les fruits tropicaux. Les épices sont également présentes pour apporter un petit peu d’énergie à un profil très spécialisé et atypique. Un rhum très aromatique et harmonieux pour son âge, qui peut se boire comme du petit lait. Le rapport qualité / prix est vraiment excellent.
