Aroma visualization from community tastings
West Indies Plantation Barbados Vintage 2005
You'd expect a 13-year Barbados rum to have real weight, but the surprise here is how light it drinks. Coconut, caramel and a touch of dried fruit and sherry, all wrapped in an easy sweetness. Several tasters found it "rund und lecker" — round and pleasant — but wished it hadn't been watered down and sugared so far toward soft and simple.

Light, sweet, easygoing Barbados sipper Well-liked as an easy, sweet Barbados sipper, but a recurring gripe: too light and too sweet for the age, with a finish that fades fast for some.

Most helpful positive review
A little too thin and a little too much sugar. But otherwise a nice round harmonious rum.

A bit sad that this one has been watered down this much. What could have been a good rum ended up very light and very sweet.
Review by Tim
Fruchtig süß mit Honig auf den ersten Blick. Im Abgang bleibt nicht viel hängen.

13/12/2024: Road Rummers Plantation tasting
Review by Stijn Zino
S8 T3 Road Rummers Plantation tasting I'll happily drink my glas but this is just too light and too sweet. Not exciting. Easy rum for everyone, but not a good reference to Barbados rum in my opinion. Nose was stronger when pouring the glass.
Review by Jindrich Strobl
Nice nose, long finish but taste is not of my preferrence.
Review by J.V.
Erinnert an Mount Gay XO, insgesamt rund und lecker
