This unaged Savanna grand arôme is loud and strange: several tasters even catch smoked meat and barbecue sauce alongside the fruit. One member counts "the 900 esters" slapping you constantly. Delicious, a really tasty savanna. Has a really good medicinal and herbal nose. You can also recognize tropical fruits. Ester is added on the palate. This rum is a real success.

This Savanna Lontan from the 2020 batch is a slight improvement on its counterpart from the previous vintage. The very distinctive nose is a blend of green, vegetal olive notes on the one hand, and meaty notes of bolognese, barbecue sauce and smoked bacon on the other. The funkier, fruitier, ester-like and metallic side is rounder and more pleasant. The palate remains as wacky as the nose, with vegetal notes crossed with bolognese sauce or smoked barbecue sauce. While herbs, vegetation and earth dominate, there's a fruity, medicinal edge to the palate. The profile is oily, rounder on the palate and with better-integrated alcohol than the 2019 batch. The finish, a little less marked, is on the same herbal and vegetal register, with that taste of smoked meat that confuses the senses. Pepper and copper are more prominent, with esters in the background. A rather atypical profile, which needs a little practice and aeration to be fully appreciated.

Here again a very tasty Savanna. The ester smell dominates the nose, but fruits are also clearly recognizable. The fermented fruit then comes to the fore in the taste. Pineapple and a hint of strawberries can be detected.

#5193 02.04.2025 Running through some samples at home. Nose Intense, fresh, fruity, olive, light anise, light earthy, berries, light floral. Palate Medium intense, fresh, fruity, berries, light olive, faint salt, light licorice, herbal, light citrus. Finish Long and warm, balances, light spicy, fruity, light olive, light licorice, light citrus. Empty glass Fruity, herbal, light olive, gummy bears.

Olive pur von Anfang bis Ende! Dazu gesellen sich pflanzliche, erdige und fruchtige Noten, welche im Gaumen und Abgang deutlich stärker vertreten sind. Den Alkohol spürt man kaum; echt klasse eingebunden!

A real monster - not even a doc in a drink can compete with that, although it has more esters! An extreme mixture of fermented pineapple, some vanilla and a lot of wood, although he has never seen wood ? In the finish, strawberries / strawberry yogurt are added - simply awesome - but the bottle will probably never be empty, unless it evaporates 😂.

This is worlds apart and what a wowing experience. Pineapple again as the newer ones have and the 900 esters really slap you constantly in the face. A little hint of iodine and a lot of loveliness. Big improvement
