Silver Seal Old Navy Rum (Edition 2022)
Poured neat it opens hot from the 57%, then settles into chocolate, oak and a warm, roasted core with faint citrus and vanilla underneath. Members read it as a Jamaica-and-Barbados Navy blend, and a few reckon they can taste some Port Morant in there. Works fine in a mixer too, though most agree it shows best given a little time in the glass.

The alcohol is initially really strong but it all settles down after some time. On the palate it is surprisingly complex and balanced. The finish is also really nice and without any off notes. Edit The bottle is now almost empty and if the price is right I get another one and so should you ;)

What is an evening without a Silver Seal Navy rum? Exactly, not a real Silver Seal evening. This is year another pretty good Navy blend. Well balanced and a nice and warm touch to the palate. The vanilla and citrus notes are very faint but there. Price to quality is pretty good in my mind.

Ein guter Blend, aber leider auch nicht überragend. Pur angenehm zum trinken. Als Mixer tut er auch seinen Job, kann aber leider auch dort nicht redtlos überzeugen. Für den Preis ist, das was er kann aber angemessen.
