One taster called it "a very nice rum with a heavy Hampden base," and that heavy Jamaican side really does lead — ester, glue and overripe tropical fruit up front, then ripe mango, a little caramel and coconut underneath. It's a many-origin blend that shouldn't hang together but does. Some find it hard to read; a couple lose interest in all the Jamaica.

As magnificent as it is difficult to decipher. The tdl nevertheless has a bit of the upper hand. I thought it was a commercial product...delighted to have been totally mistaken. This rum is also a beautiful work of art.

What can I say? What can I say, it's confusing. But... We have to admit that it's well-balanced and good. It's hard to put a direction to it, but given the quantity of rums and the quality achieved, it's quite admirable! Every sip is a discovery...

Here, too, it has been possible to create a thoroughly expressive blend from the numerous components. Interesting, own profile with the sweetness of ripe fruit, vanilla and discreet wood. Pleasing, but without quite great sophistication.
