C.M.R Mamita Rhum 1970s

People who chase old, dusty Caribbean bottlings will get the most out of this one. The nose is the highlight — pear, varnished wood, tobacco and a fruity-spirit edge that several tasters genuinely liked. The palate is where it slips: caramel and dried fruit show up, but it's a bit unbalanced and "tout passe assez vite," fading fast into dry old wood.

  • Fruity, woody nose
  • Caramel & dried fruit
  • Unbalanced palate

How does C.M.R Mamita Rhum 1970s taste?

Aggregated from 11 community reviews.

Pretty nose, fading unbalanced palate A lovely, fruity old-style nose that most agree the palate doesn't quite live up to — caramel and dried fruit, but unbalanced and short. A nose-forward curiosity.

14.12.1995 Travelling around Asia i sometimes found bars that had other stuff than local beer and local whisky, which for that matter wasn't bad in the high temperatures. Notes. Medium dark colour. Nose: fresh, fruity, light wood, round. Palate: Intense, fruits, wood, unbalanced. Finish: medium long, intense, warm, fruits. 3 out of 5 stars.
