A.F.D. Ron Cristóbal Santa Maria Marsala (Limited Edition) 2009
Caramel, vanilla and a distinct wine note from the Marsala cask are the first things you meet here — soft, round and noticeably sweet. Several tasters found it easy and pleasant, "rund und süffig," while others felt the good bones get buried under sugar and a slightly odd wine influence. An unusual Dominican with a very present finish.

- Present, lingering finish

I would have expected something sweeter. I find him already really round and quaffable.

Untypical Dom. Rep. rum. The finish is very present.

Less sweet than the others (tokaji, pinot noir and recioto), warm finish

Geschmacklich eigentlich gute Ansätze, aber ich verstehe leider nicht, warum man den Rum so süßen muss…

Nothing special a little too much wine influence and too sweet...

What a sweet and unnecessary rum. All good qualities are drowned in a frenzy of caramelly sugar, vanilla and a weird note i assume is the marsala. Boy does no one should have a need for that. Really dissapointing...
