Infinity Spirits Foursquare The Royal Cane Cask Company Single Cask Rum 2002
Almost nobody guessing blind pegs this as a Foursquare — several tasters swore it was Rockley or West Indies, all honeycomb, honey and lemony herbs with a whiff of incense and smoke. A 20-year continentally-aged pot still that's fruity, gently spiced, with light wood and a touch of chocolate. The one shared gripe: for cask strength it can read a bit thin and watery.

This is a retaste and I stick to my initial score. A very unique release as its been fully matured continentally. Fruity with light wood and spices and some chocolate on the profile. The glas is wonderful an hour after emptying.

Shallow Barbados style. Tastes like a blend from all Barbados distilleries. The taste is not great, but it suddenly becomes interesting at the back. Quite atypical Foursquare.

Hinweis: Tätigkeit bei Perola GmbH (Spirituosenbranche), teilweise berufliche Involvierung bei bewerteten Abfüllungen. Alle Bewertungen sind meine persönliche, unbezahlte Meinung. Also damit hätte ich beim besten Willen nicht gerechnet... 20y Kontintental gereifter foursquare und es schmeckt für mich einfach extrem ähnlich wie ein 1986er rockley?! Bienenwabe, Honig, Kräuter wie Zitronenthymian und Zitronenverbene, etwas Weihrauch und Räuchernoten sowie Backgewürze und Autolack. Geiles Zeug wenn auch etwas dünn aber angeblich ist das eine Fassstärke! Feier ich mehr als ich erwartet hätte... Im Abgang dann dezent bitter wie etwas zu lang gezogener Grüntee, mit Honig und leicht salzig... Sehr ungewöhnliches Profil!

Wow, I'm thrilled! I am actually sure that this is not a Foursquare. Completely out of character for Foursquare. I would guess West Indies. It has that typical honey note that I only know from Rockley.

Tasting date 04.09.2026 Barbados night with Mr. Daniel Jungberg. RX14104 Royal Cane Barbados. Nose: Coconut and cardboard, light wood. Scent of water irrigation. Mouth: Balanced fruity sweetness, marzipan and nutty notes, vanilla is present. Overripe mirabelle. Residual taste: Dried fruits, salty light minerals, nutty sweetness. The glass: Sour cigar tobacco. Tasting “In the cave”

On the nose I have most likely green apple, almost like a 98 Sancti Spíritus. On the palate, the rum seems balanced, but also somehow watery and dull. This is really supposed to come from a pot still? Have I had this taste sensation before with RA's Rockley? I can't remember and unfortunately don't have a comparison sample anymore. In any case, this FS is quite different from the previously tasted FS from Royal Cane from 2005 (RX14165), somehow finer. For me the easier sipper.

Klasse Barbados weiblich finde. In der Nase überwiegend Honig und gebrannter Zucker, aber auch etwas Frucht. Am Gaumen dann überwiegend Honig (Bienenwabe), aber auch etwas gebrannter Zucker. Echt ein top Teil :)

Cross-tasting with seven bottlings from Royal Cane. Would have guessed WIRD rather than Foursquare here. A little watery on the palate. Overall, none of the bottlings convinced me.

Initially, I had difficulty analyzing a particular smell and taste. When I then looked up what else was entered, it fell like scales from my eyes, incense it was. Otherwise, it is for a continental stored really good, but unfortunately not one that completely blows me away.

Milde noter af bagt æble & appelsin. let fadpræg, Tungen på eventyr 🥃 : smager jeg ristet fadpræg, kaffe, vanilje & marcipan. Små noter af noget mineralsk som salt. Halen på historien💫 : eventyret vare ikke længe, men smager nu godt.
