One taster nailed it: "nice agricol with a fruity/floral profile and well integrated alcohol." That's the heart of this unaged Papa Rouyo — brine and salty olives up front, then grass, lime and a touch of tropical fruit and nougat. At 62% the alcohol reads much softer than the number suggests. A few find it too savory and short on fruit, but most love the oily, funky character.

#4074 This is a pretty nice white especially when looking at the price tag. Fruity with nice floral notes and a lightly dry palate. I like the light nutty note that is also there in the empty glass.

An Agricole as it stands in the book. Really nice nose, which comes across as very fruity. Citrus fruits are particularly noteworthy here. Also very fruity on the palate, also vegetal and floral. Alcohol really well integrated.

Während sich in der Nase die fruchtigen und pflanzlichen bzw. gemüsigen Noten noch die Waage halten, wird es im weiteren Verlauf zunehmend kräuteriger und würziger. Die Fruchtaromen verlieren dabei immer mehr an Bedeutung und sind nach dem Runterschlucken nur noch mit einem Hauch Ananas im Nachgeschmack vertreten. Ein guter, ungereifter Agricole, der mir aber mit einer konsistenteren Fruchtigkeit noch besser gefallen würde.

Alcohol well integrated, nice nose but taste me much too salty, vegetable and bitter and herbaceous.... Unfortunately, hardly any fruit notes ... Tasty for it in the daiquiri But why that must now cost 80€ I do not understand?

Mi è piaciuto molto. Appena lo versi nel bicchiere esplode un profumo di olive e salamoia, banana acerba e una leggera nota di agrumi. La nota alcolica è sorprendentemente gradevole. Col passare dei minuti si aggiunge un accenno di frutta tropicale. Al palato l'alcol invece si fa sentire, scalda ma non è aggressivo. Ritornano le olive in salamoia e la banana acerba ma il tutto è più speziato, quasi piccante. Finale medio. Assaggiato in sample. P.S.: dovrebbe essere prodotto interamente con la sola varietà di canne rouge.

It makes a killer daiquiri. The nose is great, tropical, inviting and something different. Combination of grass, pineapple and nougat. The mouth is intense and you really know you are drinking a full proof unaged agricole then. Arrack, subtle brine and green element. Finish is salty and fruity with tropical notes and some pineapple. A great unaged white rum but best in cocktails and mixed for my taste rather than straight up. Side note - One of the best daiquiri white rums I have found!

Nez, pâtisserie, mi cuit, amende amère. Alcool bien présent au nez, assez agressif. Il y a des épices aussi mais j’ai du mal à dire lesquels. Après avoir lu les critiques j’ai l’olive qui ressort pas mal. En bouche, on retrouve les mêmes arômes, avec un peu de végétal / floral que j’avais pas trop au nez. Belle intensité, alcool bien présent, mais super bien intégré alors que ça me faisait peur au nez, pas gênant en bouche. Belle finale, longueur moyenne, portée sur l’amende amère avec touche de végétale.

Al naso è esplosivo con frutta tropicale matura, olive, litchi, alghe dolci, agrumi e qualcosa come torrone. Al palato è morbido e caldo con sentori di salamoia, esteri, umami, alghe, aringhe affumicate, agrumi, papaya matura. Una dolcezza lieve fa da sfondo al tutto. E il finale è abbastanza persistente (medio-lungo). Abv assurdo pare avere 20 gradi in meno. Nel bicchiere vuoto esteri/umami.
