Worthy Park S.B.S Jamaica WPL 2009
Best sipped neat, this is a classic Worthy Park pot-still Jamaican — one member says it "smells like Jelly Banans with chocolate," and that ripe banana carries onto the palate alongside young wood, pepper and a bit of milk chocolate. It's a low-ester WP: dry and slightly astringent rather than a funk bomb. A couple of tasters found it too bitter and sour on the finish.

Second tasting: hmm, is quite pale compared to others (-3) For me, this is one of the top rums from the Rum Depot S.B.S Tasting 2022. The nose starts fresh and super fruity, especially with the bananas so typical of Worthy Park. These really come into their own on the palate. The finish is dominated by the influence of the barrel. A great Jamaican! I would have liked it to be even more intense, but still a very good rum!

Tasted again with DomM in the Flower of Hawaii. Still a good rum and the best of those tasted that evening. Tasted at Serge's during Franconian Tasting goes Tiki A good Worthy Park representative. A positive surprise, very pleasant in taste. Everything you expect from Worthy Park is also in the glass here. Solid rum.

Dégusté à l aveugle. Petite hesitation au nez entre Jamaïcain et Fidji. C est le côté banane pas très mûre qui m a fait pencher pour worthy Park. Le boisé est léger les épices sont doux: vanille et tonka. Une qualité qui tient la route.

Sehr guter Rum, der ähnlich oder gleich gut wie andere bekannte Worthy Park-Rums ist. Ein typischer Jamaika-Rum, wobei kein High-Esterprofil vorliegt, aber dafür das modrige, pelzige Gefühl im Mund. Preis sollte auch noch im Rahmen liegen.

Kam im Tasting nach den Mittelamerikanern und ich hatte ihn deutlich besser in Erinnerung als jetzt. Es bleibt ein ordentlicher WPL, etwas trocken und astringent, aber schon nett zu sippen
