Valinch & Mallet Travellers The Spirit of Art 2006
Sip it neat with a good rest in the glass and you get the classic Belize Travellers signature: coconut, vanilla, milk chocolate and toasted oak, with roasted peanuts and coffee underneath. Despite the 56.3% the alcohol sits well. Most tasters call it easy and gourmand but a bit shy — one flags a metallic, green-pepper edge on the first sips.

Aggregated from 27 community reviews.
Easy coconut-chocolate Belize, tasty but shy Well-made, easy-drinking Belize with coconut, chocolate and vanilla. Almost everyone likes it, but most agree it stays shy and lacks depth for a 16-year cask-strength single cask.

Nose is very round but slightly too shy. Palate is more funky but still very sugary and round with a lot of coconut, vanilla and pastries. A nice daily sipper 😋 Good job Valinch & Mallet for this release 👊
Review by alex
It's well-made, with well-integrated alcohol and good length, it's greedy and rather pleasant to drink. After all, I can't compare it with any other rum from this distillery, as it's my first. I like it a lot all the same 😉
Review by Basti
The nose is very closed at first and becomes more intense with time. Quite reserved and unspectacular on the palate. Definitely similar to FS, but less intense.
Review by Jakob
Classic Belize: Pronounced pleasing and quaffable, but the rum is somewhat lacking in aromatic complexity. In addition to the sweetness of vanilla, toffee, chocolate still get a few hints of cappuccino and peanuts and leicjte spiciness in the taste spectrum. Very good alcohol integration.

A nice travellers but a bit overpriced compared to what you get. Warm and spicy on the palate with chocolate. The coffee notes are very subtle. Make sure to rest it for a good while to release all flavours.
Review by Righrum
The nose is really closed, too thin to be good, with time seems not to improve. Drink wise it is a little better, caramel chocolate and some spices, especially when given a good rest. but this is not enough given the not perfect alcohol integration. Seems a doorly's 12 with too much alcohol in it.
