It's a young unaged New Yarmouth, all funk and tropical fruit, but several people note it drinks surprisingly smooth for 50% and a few wish it hit harder. Let it rest and the solvent softens into fruit and pastry.

Als mir gefällt dieser CDI sehr gut. Warum heißt der overproof, obwohl nur 50%? Schöne jamaikanische Nase, Ester, tropische Früchte und Klebstoff vermengen sich. Am Gaumen auch Ester und tropische Früchte, dazu noch Klebstoff, Nagellack und Politur.

Volle Breitseite Ester, Klebstoff, Lack in der Nase. Ein Hauch Umami dahinter, aber hauptsächlich derb. Geschmacklich dann super smooth, leicht süß und enorm fruchtig. Zum Klebstoff kommt Ananas, Banane, etwas Zitrus dazu. Kassiert Veritas und Co. mit Leichtigkeit. Überraschend mild für 50%

Very nice unaged new Yarmouth. Full broadside of banana, ester and funk. Still very smooth! Doesn't quite come close to the fine drams new Yarmouth with 69%, but is still available and makes really great atomic daiquiris.

Yes, all the funk. Overripe pineapple to the (chemically) max. This is Jamaica baby. Pretty much what to expect but if you like this style you'll love this.

At the opening it will give aromas of acetone and esters. It will need a lot of aeration to bring mango and ripe tropical fruits. I will not drink this rum other than in cocktails.

This is an extremely well balanced and fruity rum. If you rest it for a good while it releases a lot of flavors of which some are like pastries. Nice and oily palate with a floral note I like a lot. The glue and polish notes dissipate pretty quick in the well rested glass. Draws really nice curtains in the glass.
