Tasted on the Whisky and Rum festival 2022. IJmuiden. www.zeewijck.nl First impression: very Travellers Belize. Heavy. Bourbon. American oak. Vanilla/caramel. Taste: christmassy: Cinnamon(rolls). Cherry. Cloves. Charred. Vanilla. A lot of taste. The bourbon ever present. 55% is perfect. Good pick from Richard. Update may 2023. Strangely he still has loads of bottles of this.

Most helpful mixed review
Poorly integrated alcohol, bitterness on the finish. You can smell the bourbon barrel, very nice on the nose, but on the palate it almost burns and overshadows the tropical fruit and fig on the nose. I'll do a follow-up tasting once it's aerated. Edit: the aeration did it some good, but now I'm getting petroleum notes linked to bitterness on the palate.
