Sehr runder aber auch komplexer ausgewogener Rum. Zugegeben ein wenig süßlich vor allem Vanille und Karamell dominieren. Es ist und bleibt ein toller Rum. Fazit: Sehr ausgewogen und preislich sehr fair.

This is a premium rum with a premium price but it's not that great and sadly disappointed ... This did not taste like a 30 year rum at all The notes were basically oak and caramel massive disappointment for the price

Duftet intensiver, als er schmeckt. Trotzdem herrlich komplexe Vanille- und Rosinenaromen, allerdings immer sehr zurückhaltend. Etwas Fassgeschmack, ein bisschen Eiche. Eine würdige Jubiläumsabfüllung, finde ich.

Nase: gefällig mild und warm, Karamell, Toffee und Vanille lassen auf einen Süßrum schließen. Rosinen sind auch mit dabei. Gaumen: dezenter, frischer und süßer Auftakt. Dann beginnt ein Wechselspiel der Aromen. Zunächst fruchtige Aromen von Pflaume und Kirsche die dann in würzige Noten von Nelke und Vanille, bis hin zu Holz und Nüssen. Hier bekommt man was geboten, zusätzlich noch eine Facette die ich nicht fassen kann. Abgang: Im Abgang, Holz , Nuss aber auch was fruchtiges bis hin zu Cola. Fazit: Der Rum hat mich positiv am Gaumen mit seiner Vielfalt an Aromen bei dem Alter überrascht.

Ja dieser gefällt mir sehr gut. Man merkt ihm die 30 Jahre gleich an, da er schon recht holzig daherkommt. Dazu kommen dann noch eine schöne Vanille- und Karamellnote in Nase und Gaumen. Und im Gaumen kommt dann noch Kaffee hinzu. Lecker.

Für mich gehört dieser Rum zu den besten aus der Dominikanischen Republik. Noch handwerklich verblendet und nicht im industriellen Solera Verfahren hergestellt. Ein schöner Begleiter für jede Gelegenheit und für Einsteiger, die auf ungesüßte Massenware verzichten wollen. Perfekt um sich den großen Rums zu öffnen.

A beautifully packaged rum. The nose is marked by vanilla, wood, walnut and something floral (honeysuckle?). The palate is quite different, with a lovely vegetal bitterness, lots of vanilla and caramel, green walnut (fresh). The finish is surprisingly long, with caramelized pineapple and still bitterness to counterbalance the rather extreme sweetness. A fine product, but too sweet for my taste.

7:The nose is greedy, yet dry. A pleasant woodiness with hints of nuts (especially walnuts and almonds) takes center stage. Notes of caramel coffee try to steal the show, but don't quite succeed. Slight mushroom notes complete the profile. 7,5:On the palate, the attack is sweeter than expected, and this sweet impression becomes more and more present with each passing second. The 43% does not allow this rum to descend into an extreme liquorice. There's caramel, woodiness and in the background, nuts and roasted notes.Hints of leather/tobacco underneath. 7:The finish is rather long and clearly dominated by caramel and nuts. The wood, however, is not far behind. A nice companion with cigar...

This was a 30-year old Birthday present from good friends. Complex to the nose with hints of fruits and vanilla. In the notes I found fruit, caramel and vanilla. Safe to say we emptied half of this during the Birthday
