I would probably buy a bottle of this if it weren't for the price, I like it very much. Creamy and oily, the esters are wonderfully integrated. Wood, licorice, some olive, solvent paired with lots of tropical fruits.

This one is even more floral than the previous one and also fruity and pretty well balanced. Intense and oily on the palate and the empty glass is really nice after an hour and I can find licorice in it.

Hampden bon mais très oubliable et inférieur à beaucoup d'autres embouteillages, notamment de chez Velier. Pour ce prix-là, autant acheter 3L du très réussi Younger.

Wonderful balanced Hampden with lower esters but a more fruity/floral profile. A bit less balanced than cask 78. Prefer the other one one, but this is like splitting hairs.

Un Hampden Single Cask avec le mark HLCF, dont la puissance aromatique se fait ressentir au nez. On y retrouve un concentré de notes phénoliques, de saumure et de fruits exotiques. Une pointe d’olive fait également irruption. Le côté funky est toujours présent en bouche avec quelques notes épicées et boisées très légères. La finale est de longueur moyenne, asséchée par les tannins et le cuir. L’ensemble est rond, sympathique et maîtrisé. Un bon profil d’Hampden, mais loin d’être exceptionnel, en particulier si l’on tient compte du prix.

This is a very powerful HLCF... definitely not for beginners... fruit, olive, phenol on the nose... the palate is oily and heavy. Intense aromas of wood, spices and brine spread out. The alcohol is already quite present. The finish continues in the same way... something fruity appears very late. Slightly sweet, like dried mango. A fine but tiring rum

Sunday evening inside, after a rainy day - why not go to Jamaica? Very floral in the nose, and with time I get tropical fruits and some spicy hints. A very smooth and filling mouth-feel with notes of cocoa and a lingering taste of licorice

Grundsätzlich ein guter alter HLCF aber diese Kombi aus extrem überreifem Obst, Olivenlake, super süßem Karamellbonbon und dieser leichten Ester Essig Säure macht mich leider nicht an, sorry. Irgendwas passt hier für mich nicht. Ist nicht ausgewogen genug für eine höhere Bewertung für mich. Und zu dem Preis schon Mal sowieso nicht.
