De retour après deux belles semaines de vacances... sans rhum ! Et pour marquer cette reprise en beauté, c’est un bottle kill un peu spécial aujourd’hui : ma 1000ᵉ note de dégustation sur RumX Plantation Guyana 2008 – Port Mourant – Mezcal Finish (49,7 %) Vieillissement : • 9,5 ans sous climat tropical en fût de bourbon (200 L) • 2 ans en fût de cognac Ferrand (350 L) • 6 mois en fût de mezcal Del Maguey Dosage : 10 g/L Nez Chocolat noir, tabac intense, fruits secs bien présents… le tout relevé par une fraîcheur fruitée et une petite touche végétale qui évoque la canne. Chaleureux et accueillant. Bouche Soyeuse en attaque, avec de belles notes de coco toastée, de vanille fumée et de bois. Puis, le finish mezcal se glisse en douceur, sans brusquer l’ensemble. Finale Un bel équilibre entre chaleur boisée et fraîcheur citronnée. Gourmandise et tension pour clore la dégustation. Un rhum qui illustre bien le chemin parcouru : atypique, surprenant, avec un profil qui sort des sentiers battus. Ce n’est pas un incontournable, mais il a le mérite d’oser. Et n’oubliez pas : les inscriptions pour notre BBQ de fin de saison seront clôturées début juin !
