Very fresh with fruits and spices. Very light wood and lovely pastries on top. The final maturation in wine casks is there though very light. I will order a bottle as soon as my wallet has recovered from my last order 😊

Une jolie bouteille pour un rhum plutôt réussi il faut dire. Le nez fait ressortir le vin, les épices, les agrumes et les fruits exotiques. On perçoit tout de même le végétal avec la canne à sucre mais l’ensemble est plutôt équilibré, c’est appréciable. Le nez fait composer les arômes avec maîtrise. Le profil en bouche gagne en rondeur et en gourmandise. On a un corps bien gras et épais qui associe le caramel, le miel, les épices, le vin et le raisin sec pour un résultat gouleyant et opulent. Le piment et la note vineuse ajoute une note « sportive » au palais qui n’est pas désagréable. Le profil est facile mais très agréable pour un style agricole. L’alcool est bien intégré également. La finale est moyennement longue mais il reste équilibrée sur les arômes, notamment entre les notes mielleuses, vineuses et fruitées. Le profil s’atténue lentement sur la douceur et le boisé légèrement pimenté. Une bonne mise en bouteille qui témoigne d’un vieillissement complexe et intéressant mais qui, encore une fois, est extrêmement chère pour le produit fini.
