Communitytreffen RumX Acht Oktober 2025. Fast vergessen diesen einzuchecken, aber egal. Trotz allem ein guter T.D.L. Also Minze jedenfalls gut erkennbar, ansonsten noch etwas Metall, Banane und tropische Früchte. Top.

Premier community meeting RumX à Acht. Un nez où le formidable fruité de TDL est un peu atténué et où le bois est trop marqué. L’entrée de bouche est un peu piquante, métallique, mais les fruits sont là et le bois, dominant su nez, agit ici plutôt en soutient. La finale est elle aussi un peu piquante, médicamenteuse mais cela finit par s’estomper et les fruits puis une belle amertume boisée prennent le relais. Un rhum délicieux, péjoré par un piquant un peu envahissant.

The alcohol is pretty intense but with some water - and by that I mean lot - you get quite a decent TDL and it feels nice and balanced. Drinking this neat would be a waste.

Beautiful matte for a bottle under 100e. Although alcohol can be felt, but very drinkable. I recommend it even to beginners for discovering new flavours. Mata from TDL is an unmistakable taste that you will never get tired of.

Alcohol not well integrated. Not very exciting with a hint of berry fruit, slightly sweet, a little smoky on the finish. There are much better T.D.Ls in my opinion

It’s an interesting rum from Thompson Bros. A relatively young and fairly brash rum from TDL bottled at 13 years. The nose is fairly typical with copper and metallic notes and little in the way of fruit, mouth again metal with earth and wet root notes and a hint on salty brine. The finish is medium length and a bit thin but with more interesting layers including soap, vegetation and cloves. It is not a super impressive rum but interesting enough to try and while not impressive not disasterous across any dimension and hard to complain for the price
