Cadenhead‘s Port Mourant Green Label Demerara Rum 1975
Raisin hits first and hard, backed by tobacco, licorice, oak and that rubbery-varnish Port Mourant edge. One taster called the nose "himmlisch" — heavenly — but almost everyone agrees the 40.6% bottling thins it out on the palate: dark, woody and a touch bitter, short on fruit and punch. A 33-year-old Demerara that reads elegant on the nose, quieter than it should be in the mouth.

How does Cadenhead‘s Port Mourant Green Label Demerara Rum 1975 taste?
Aggregated from 21 community reviews.
Dark, raisiny old Demerara, thinned by low ABV Loved for its dark, raisin-heavy Demerara character, but several tasters wish it were bottled stronger — at 40.6% the palate falls a bit thin and woody after a gorgeous nose.

Review by Palo - V Poháriku
Elegant, balanced, sophisticated. I am very positively surprised about the intensity of this rum, considering its ABV. It's really "dark" in all ways - the colour, the flavours. I get mostly coffee, dried fruits, wood, molasses with interesting flovral hints on the nose, even some mint. Happy I had the opportunity to taste it.

Un gran rum, ad una gradazione più alta sarebbe stato spettacolare

Insanely intense and dense for 40%.
Review by Giorgio Garotti
An excellent low grade old Demerara! Brings out all the dark and woody part of the rum! It only lacks intensity and persistence!
Review by Pavel Spacek
Bitter, woody, smoky without molasa sugar and definitely a lot different from Green Label 1975 40.5%
Review by Johannes Oscarsson
Massive raisin hit. A bit of the sour-y pot still character but not obviously PM.
