Chairman‘s Reserve Master‘s selection (Romhatten #4) 2011

Sip this one neat and slowly — the cane-juice base throws something unusual for Saint Lucia. Tasters get marzipan, chocolate praline and butterscotch up front, dried dates and toasted oak underneath, with a green, floral agricole edge and a menthol note on the finish. Creamy and deceptively easy for 59%, though a few felt the alcohol never fully tucked away.

Creamy, praline-heavy pot-still cane rum Loved for its pastry-and-praline nose and creamy chocolate palate. Genuinely different from other Chairman's, though several noted the high-proof alcohol stays a touch rough on the finish.

Taste a menthol bomb! Very different from all Chairman's that I have tried before!

Ziemlich cool!

Überraschendes Erlebnis! Hätte diesen Rum eher Richtung Column Still zugeordnet.
