Nobilis Diamond (Port Mourant) No. 21A - Port Morant Still AW 2012
Sipped neat, this young Port Mourant reads fresh and green rather than the dark, oily PM many expect: unripe lime, green apple, black pepper and licorice over a light honey sweetness, with a metallic, yeasty edge one taster likened to brioche. At 64.7% it drinks a touch sharp and unripe. Give it plenty of time in the glass to settle down.

How does Nobilis Diamond (Port Mourant) No. 21A - Port Morant Still AW 2012 taste?
Aggregated from 36 community reviews.
Young, sharp green Port Mourant sipper A promising nose that the palate doesn't quite live up to — most find it young, sharp and slightly raw, wishing it had spent more time in cask. One of the better young continental Demeraras, but polarizing.

Beautiful nose that makes you want more! On the palate, unfortunately, too immature, but definitely with good beginnings.

The three Nobilis 21A, B and C in the test...Nose: young and fresh PM. Seems a bit immature and thus slightly sharp. Something slightly metallic underlined the young freshness, just as not yet fully ripe lime. In terms of fruit, green apple is added. Everything is framed by a pleasant honey sweetness and a discreet spiciness of wood and anise. 7.8 Palate: also quite sharp, alcoholic and bitter at the start. Spicy-peppery-salty, with black pepper and licorice. Has a yeasty texture, similar to brioche. Still metallic and slightly nutty at the end. 7.2Seems a bit too immature and impetuous to me. The high abv then underscores this. Overall, somewhat disappointing.

Tropical fruits, spices, lactic acid - the nose of the young continental Demeraras definitely reveals a recurring profile. On the palate, the mineral and spicy notes come to the fore a bit more here; the slightly lactic aromas also remain with us, paired with the sweetness present, these now almost remind us a bit of crème brûlée. The alcohol also makes an appearance, but without becoming too dominant. Also from this bottling I do not need more than the present sample, nevertheless, it is one of the better from the squad of tasted young continental matured Demeraras.

#5390 10.06.2025 Enjoying a few samples while watching a few episodes of Start Trek Discovery. Nose Fresh, light, light wood, light apple, spice, alcoholic, light grass, faint chocolate. Palate Light, alcoholic, light wood, light roasted, dried fruit, faint caramel, light citrus, faint smoke, light salty. Finish Medium long, wood, light roasted, light citrus, faint caramel, faint salty. Empty glass Vanille, caramel, light peach. Needs to rest for a good while for the ABV to settle a bit. ABV integration is not the best.

Nose promises more than the rum hold. Overall, quite shaky, unround and tangy. With water, however, it did not get better.

More grassy and milky than the Nectar I paired it, but both on the nose thesweet and leather notes, and drinking the roasty side are almost completely gone. Not unpleasant just it does not add anything to my rum journey, again if I want that bitter grassy side I'll choose Fiji which delivers it better
