Sea Shepherd Rum

Probiert auf dem 11. GRF und leider noch vor dem Probieren enttäuscht, als uns die Bestandteile erklärt wurden. Neben den allseits beliebten Jamaika und Barbados ein nicht näher definiertes Element aus der Karibik (war es sogar ein Blend?) und dazu eine ordentliche Portion Zucker, die alles glattbügelt und gerade so dimensioniert ist, dass es noch Rum heißen darf. Klar, dieser Rum ist für die breite Masse gemacht und soll wohl auch Nicht-Rumtrinker abholen, aber ein weniger süßes Produkt hätte es bei diesen wohl soliden Grundstoffen in meinen Augen auch getan. Ich hatte vorher mit dem Gedanken gespielt, eine Flasche zu kaufen (guter Zweck undso…), aber leider würde diese Flasche wohl ungeöffnet im Weg stehen. Sehr schade!

Angesichts des guten Zwecks, für den der Rum steht, hatte ich mir mehr erhofft. An der Nase kommt wenig, leicht würzig und fruchtig, wohl Jamaika, etwas Rauch. Am Gaumen dann recht süß, trotzdem alkoholisch.

Auf dem 11. GRF probiert: Da ich die Whisky Seashepherd-Abfüllung von der Insel Islay kenne, war ich sehr gespannt, welcher Rum unter dem Namen von Seasheperd in die Flasche kommt. Leider ist der Blend aus Jamaika, Barbados und geheimen weiteren Rum aus der Karibik enttäuschend. Durch den zugegeben Zucker wird vieles glattgebügelt. Mich hat er nicht abgeholt.

Ein tolle Firma die ich gerne mehr unterstützen würde. Aber leider ist dies ein einfacher flacher rum dem einfach unmengen Zucker zugesetzt wurde. Leider ist der diesjährige Adventskalender von Kirsch eine absolute Enttäuschung. Kaum Produkte die es über eine 70er Bewertung schaffen

Zuerst sehr süß, leichte Fruchtnoten und Gewürze. Im Abgang aber scharf und leicht alkoholisch. Nicht ganz ausgewogen.
