Several tasters call this the wilder, more angular Foursquare: caramel, chocolate and vanilla on the nose, then a spicy, woody, slightly sweet palate carried by a big slug of alcohol at 60.2%. A couple of reviewers found it a touch flat and one-note next to other Foursquares, with the fruit and tobacco staying shy. Still, the value-to-quality verdict keeps coming up positive.

Allein gemessen an Preis/Leistung gibt es hier einen klaren Daumen hoch von mir. Nicht viel anderes hätte ich von einer Foursquare Abfüllung erwartet. Der ein odere andere mag ihn evtl. nicht so hoch einordnen, aber für mich spielt bei meinen Bewertungen auch immer der Preis eine Rolle.

Un Foursquare assez platonique, avec un nez relativement terne et fade sur des notes principalement épicées. L’ensemble manque cruellement de vie. Limite ça irrite un peu les narines avec l’alcool. Par la suite se dégage un rhum peu plus relevé en bouche, mais avec clairement une impression de rhum effacé et superficiel qui ternit son image. Il y a un côté herbeux très étrange, quelques fruits, des épices par-ci par-là, un peu de bois et de caramel mielleux et le tour est joué. Ça ne casse pas trois pattes à un canard. La finale est courte, rapidement effacée et sans grand intérêt honnêtement. L’attaque en bouche et les notes herbeuses atypiques sauvent la mise, mais il s’agit d’un Foursquare continental des plus étranges.

Muss schon sagen, dieser Rum ist echt ne Hausnummer. Das PLV stimmt hier definitiv. Hat ne tolle, leicht süßliche Nase bestehend aus Karamell, Schokolade und Vanille. Das Holz kommt auch zum Vorschein. Am Gaumen ebenfalls leicht süßlich, aber echt im Rahmen. Super Rum.

Franchement a ce prix là on ne peut pas être déçu, mais c'est vrai que c'est le Foursquare le moins goutu et le plus déséquilibré que j'ai pu gouter. On a caramel/épices/vanille, mais avec une bonne dose d'alcool, et les fruits/tabac/chocolat sont un peu timides.

Super PLV, sehr kantiger Sipper, der aber mir persönlich eine Menge Spaß macht und als eher wilder Foursquare daher kommt. Die Schwesterabfüllung ist ein wenig süßer, diese hier hat allerdings auch einen höheren ABV
