Insanely unaged rum with infinite fruits/eggs. Best white savanna if not unaged in general. In any case, I've never had anything that can hold a candle to this bottling. Endless fun, both in a cocktail and neat.

The smell is full cannon red fruit, mixed with bubble gum and solvent, as well as, when freshly poured, olives. Taste-wise, the High Ester Rum Reunion skins you right out of your socks. Intense after a decent load of fermented fruit and varnish/medicine. In the finish, the fruits still remain Ewig. From the 62.5% one notices comparatively little. The price of 55€ (as of January 22) is definitely justified, considering how exceptional this Savanna tastes. A very HERRlicher rum.Edit: Abgefahren how many different flavors prevail on the palate and in the nose. Have this time still a touch of fried bacon in the nose, after all the fruit is gone.

Incredibly intense and funky nose. Esters, red fruits, and glue. The impressions remain in the mouth, complemented by lots of strawberry. The alcohol is superbly integrated for a strong aged rum. It's really terrific how mild it is. Excellent rum that does something like this.

This one was a retaste and I stick to my score from the first run. ------------- A nice rum from Habitation, not up to the others I tried in this batch, but still OK. The nose is funky and fruity. There is also a slight sweetness with solvents, tar and wet tobacco. The palate is living up to the nose with funk and fruitiness. A rather intense palate with varnish and a floral note on top. The finish is long and warm with orange zest and a smoky touch.

Très surprenant, au nez ça resemble a tout sauf du rhum, tellement ça sent le bonbon. En bouche, presque le même ressenti. Jusqu’à l’arrivée de certains marqueurs qui nous mettent clairement sur du rhum. Une belle longueur. J’en boirai pas tous les jours, mais c’est plutôt bien fait 😊

Zuerst als Santa Maria Daiquiri mit Faudes Kirschbrand probiert - eine richtige Geschmacksbombe! Auch pur hat diese rrum noch super viele rote Früchte zu bieten und überrascht damit positiv. Ester und Alkohol sind super eingebunden

A highly aromatic Savanna unaged in High Ester mode. The nose is concentrated and extremely fruity, with red fruit (strawberry, raspberry), ripe tropical fruit, apple, melon and tangy citrus. Medicinal notes combine with floral fragrances and the vegetal notes of aromatic herbs and olive to create a very fresh, fragrant nose. A very pleasant rum to smell. The attack on the palate is just as gripping, with strong red fruit notes (raspberry, strawberry), funky notes of esters, varnish, solvents and glue, and hints of olive, flowers and herbs that add a spicy edge to the juice. The alcohol is remarkably well integrated, without the slightest aggressiveness, even though this is a rum with character. The finish is long, sustained by velvety, ripe red fruit, phenolic, floral and herbaceous notes. Notes of pepper and leather tingle the aftertaste, with a sensation of warmth that's not unpleasant. A highly accomplished white rum that works wonders neat or in mixology.

Day 21 in the Christmas calendar. Blind!There's not many of such an aromatic profile...Nose: Fruit bomb. Fermented fruits like raspberry, strawberry, honeydew melon. Fruit vinegar! Very intense and artificial. Attractive and repulsive in equal measure, making it insanely interesting. I like this...Palate: one of the few rums where the palate follows the nose.... Wow, what a board! Nose: Strawberry and red berries in general, almost like gummy bears floating in a lake of glue and solventy notes. Mouth: Similar story here, but with the distinct olive brine character you get from Savanna. Finish: Long, fruity, and delicious. Yummy. 🤤🤤🤤🤤

Une salade de fruits mûrs, un brin de colle, de la saumure. Une délicatesse folle malgré un côté extrême. Excellent. Vraiment superbe ! J'ai souvent du mal avec les rhum Savanna vieillis mais leurs blancs et tout particulièrement celui-ci est incroyable.

Nach dem Einschenken macht sich direkt das Gummibärchen-/Kaugummi-Aroma im Raum breit. Gefällt mir schonmal sehr gut. Am Gaumen dann auch eine leicht medizinische Note und nicht ganz so rund wie die Nase, aber trotzdem sehr lecker und alles dabei was die Nase versprochen hat. Gefällt mir in Summe richtig gut, vermutlich sogar das Beste was ich bisher an "weißen" Rum im Glas hatte. Macht sich bestimmt noch besser in Cocktails. Bin gespannt auf den neuen HV Herr :)

In der Nase Himbeer, Banane, florale Noten und Funk. Im Mund dann kräftig fruchtig funky. Alkohol ist spürbar. Abgang kräftig und lang, prickelt noch lange auf der Zunge. Garantiert nicht für jeden aber sehr interessant.

I really love these awesome, olive-like, unaged Savannas. On the nose here, more olive than on the palate, on the palate nicely floral but above all fruity (strawberry and raspberry), very funky and definitely tasty.

I compared the Habitation velier HERR, the HERR 57 (2019) and the HERR 57 2022. The first two are very similar with the HERR 57 (2019) being slightly better in my opinion. Both are full of red fruit, berries, bubble gum, glue and flowers. The HERR 57 (2022) has more vegetal notes and is less fruity. This one was my least favourite out of the three.

Premier test d’un « high ester ». Découverte. Premier nez très porte sur l’alcool ensuite on sent bien le solvant. Première gorgée aussi surprenante, brûlant un peu la langue. Et puis les arômes se libèrent et on est déboussolés par la quantité d’arômes !

Une véritable huile essentielle. Quand vous ouvrez la bouteille toute la pièce est envahie par les fruits rouges et noires, le chewing-gum, le bonbon arlequin.. une véritable bombe aromatique!! En bouche ça explose dans tout les sens et la finale est interminable sur le bonbon arlequin les fruits rouges et noires et l'olive!! Pas un rum de tout les jours certes mais assurément mon rum blanc préféré ❤

Tasted with the OB Herr57 bottling from 2020 (batch4). Both come directly from the artificial pineapple Tropifrutti and strawberry bubblegum universe. But this one is a tad fresher and preffriger on the nose with sour raspberry effervescence. A matter of taste. I think I like the OB a tad better.

Explosion of fruitiness on the nose that won’t take long to fill the entire room. Very dominant on red fruits primarily strawberry, raspberry and a little bit of cherry. Subtle woodiness from pineapple husks. The sugarcane is sweet, harsh and fresh, but eases into more palatable watermelon fructose. It’s all very cool and mentholated with a black licorice overtone. Tasting reveals the same fruits, but especially strawberry gets the spotlight. A deep dark sweetness engulfes the red fruits. Like the nose refreshing and rich in flowery and herbal notes. There’s breakfast black tea and olive brine, slightly salted. Finish is rich in red fruits, cooling and with the grand return of licorice. To me, this is the ultimate white rum.

Le nez est sur le chewing-gum à la fraise et les Banan’S d’Haribo ! Retour dans la cour d’école de mon enfance … c’est déroutant et intriguant quand on ne l’a jamais croisé sur son chemin. En bouche, c’est le parc d’attraction et ses montagnes russes. On va d’un fumé prononcé à des fruits en putréfaction. Sur papier, cela fait peur. Mais en bouche c’est une claque. La finale est à nouveau extrêmement longue sur les fruits rouges mentholés.

Ce fameux savanna herr, une fois qu'on l'a goûté on s'en souvient tellement il est singulier. 👃 puissant sur le bonbon anglais/arlequin, 🍍, bonbon banane acidulé. 👄 dans la même veine avec une grande intensité aromatique et une grande puissance aromatique. L'alcool est superbement intégré on ne sent pas les 62.5 degrés. Un must have. Dans mon top 3 de tous les rhums blanc jamais goûté. Si vous le trouvez à son prix de sortie (55€) foncez. Il ne me reste plus que 3 bouteilles ;-(

Richtig geiles Brett für einen weißen Rum. Muss man mögen aber wer Jamaika mag, der wird auch mit dem hier warm. Mit solchen Rums werden Cocktails neu aufblühen.

Sounds a bit infantile, but does anyone remember the pink Hubbabubba gum ? This rum smells and tastes exactly the same - on the palate there is still some pineapple and wood - this rum is overwhelming - literally : if you use it in drinks, it drowns out all other flavors.Probably, next to the Lontan, one of the few bottles that I had to have umbedingt, but which will never be empty.Also correlates very strongly with headaches the next day.Still - how Krass that a rum manages to taste like bubble gum 😂.

Für mich eine ganz neue Erfahrung: In der Nase kommt ein enorme fruchtige süßliche Beere zum Vorschein mit dem Zusatz von Klebstoff, Lösungsmittel Im Mund dann erst eine zarte Süße mit fruchtiger Beere, auch hier eine Art Klebstoff und leichtes Lösungsmittel , sowie ganz junges Holz und/oder frisches Gras! Der Rum verteilt sich angenehm mild und cremig im Mundraum und auf der Zunge! Der Alkohol ist perfekt eingebunden! Im Abgang entwickelt sich ganz dünner Rauch, etwas Gras, eine Tendenz zur süßen Erdbeere und Klebstoff! Irgendwie faszinierend! Ein toller außergewöhnlicher Rum, lecker

Most Pineapple-lly rum I have ever tasted. Very very fruity. Papaya (including the mustiness when it's a bit too ripe). A really fun drink. Great to drink neat but probably makes a spectacular Daiquiri. Would so love to know how this would progress on oak.

Chicago, October 2022. This is an almost perfect "unaged" rum. Blasted by fruit gum on the nose and taste, with some mild funky brine to balance. Sad I don't have a bottle but go out of my way for this rum now

Definitely the best unripe I've had so far. Very similar to the matured Lord, in direct comparison, the latter is of course already better, but there are no worlds in between in my opinion.

Ça sent le bonbon arlequin à plein nez. La bouche est dans la continuité. C'est tess original. En ouvrant la bouteille je trouvais ça imbuvable bien qu'habitué aux high ester. Aujourd'hui je trouve ça bon et très original mais pas un rhum que je boirais tous les jours.

Very distinctive rum, with its trademark being (in my opinion) the bubblegum like flavor! It might be the least obvious choice for sipping it straight, although it is far more easily enjoyable if compared to Long Pond Tecc or Teca marks. I will definitely try in a couple of cocktails

Die Nase eine Granaten Ananas. Sehr intensiv aus mehreren Metern erschnüffelbar. Am Gaumen dann doch nicht ganz die bombe. Schöne Ananas allerdings auch etwas medizinische spuren. Abgang Recht kurz.

It has been a long time since the last sip of a white rum. This one gives a whole bunch of red fruits like strawberry, cherry and raspberry, but also some tropical stuff like banana and pineapple. There are also solvent, chemical product and somehow light plastic scents. Looks like a kind of chemical sweet, it's a really nice white rum :)

A great unaged Savanna rum. Intense candied nose, deep berry fruits on the mouth and a pleasant and luscious mouth. The sweet and enticing elements combine well with a longer body. Undoubtedly it would make an exceptional daiquiri but also drinks super well and better than many unaged rums stand alone. Would love to have a bottle
