Review by Rare Akuma
Tasted at SDR’24 Immediately out of the bottle the glass is swarming with deep, dark and brutally medicinal aromas. The nose starts with pinetree bark, coconut husk and overly charred crème brûlée balanced out with red currants. With some air it transforms into something immensely heavy with wafts of road works, diesel, incense sticks and burning plastic leading into twice-steeped herbal tea. Still heavy, but quite the evolution in the mouth. Highly concentrated on black tea notes in a fickle combination with charred coconut, petrol and tar with an increase in menthol and the introduction of campfire smoke. The heart is rather herbal and floral with notes of eucalyptus and rosemary. The experience lingers long with dirty and minty tones as well as dry spice before drying the throat with blackened sugar and walnut skins. A very rare bottle and an amazing opportunity to have tasted this. One could only dream of having one of these on the shelf to enjoy at home.
