CDI Boulet de Canon 12
Smoke, peat and ash hit first — this is a Compagnie des Indes rum built for whisky drinkers, with reviewers naming Lagavulin-style casks behind the honey, hazelnut, herbs and cigar. Fans call it the "most balanced" peated BdC yet; others find the peat swallows everything ("pure ashtray, not for me"). At 46%, more experiment than easy sipper.

Very intense. Pure ashtray. Not for me.

Ziemlich gelungener Cdi

Le BdC le plus équilibré jamais sorti 🔥
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
Absolutely great for whisky fans. Beautiful peat, cigar and herbal/nutty notes with a slight spiciness and acidity like pink pepper and balsamic. The rum adds nice honey and hazelnut/vanilla notes. Overall quite harmonious but you have to like whisky. I still find it a little lacking in complexity, perhaps an older or stronger rum would have been more exciting as a base. In this case, Lagavulin casks were used.

Even though I am not a fan of smoky rum, this one is quite ok.
Review by Arnaud Faverjon
The peat takes over too much, making it hard to appreciate these peated rums overall.
Review by Gregor
In the smell even like stool. Taste of smoky, watered-down peat whisky
