I had no idea what to expect from this and if anything worried it might be quite poor (after trying another English distilled rum). However after having some better experiences with UK distilled rum - J.Gow and Ninefold I thought it was time to crack it open. It is a actually an enjoyable and good quality rum. On the nose there are green apples and a musty note (the bottle suggests old books). The palate is similar but adds nutmeg and dark chocolate. The green apples and dark chocolate persist in the finish. At 56% ABV the flavours aren’t shy too. It’s a young and fun rum.
