Another very good Foursquare, one of the private cask series. Quite a big nose on it - woody, with fruits and spice. Very nice on the palate, like all of them! Spicy, vanilla, wood, and has a layer of sweetness that I am enjoying. A medium to long finish.

Very dry rum. While tasting, the very first thing that strikes Your taste buds is dryness. Plenty of wood and spices. Then the flavour changes diametrically and notes of dates and exotic fruits come into the game. Very interesting rum. However it is too dry for my preferences. And lastly, in terms of Foursquare standards, it could be better ;)

In comparison, two bottlings from the Private Cask Selection. Both have the usual high, typical Foursquare profile that you can rely on as always. However, they do not stand out from other PCS or ECS bottlings. Solid bottlings as usual.

#6076 14.12.2024 Cleaning my palate after door number 14 of my Christmas Calendar Nose Fresh, fruity, light wood, cherry, faint prunes, light marzipan, light clove, faint chocolate. Palate Oily, light wood, faint smoke, light marzipan, light earthy, faint coconut, light orange, light clove, light chocolate. Finish Medium to long, light wood, dried fruit, light coconut, light earthy, light orange, faint caramel. Empty glass Vanilla, light chocolate, light caramel, light cherry, clove.

Schöne runde Nase. Karamell, Vanille, vielleicht wirklich eine Dattel. Vollmundiger Geschmack. Das hlz ist sehr gut erkennbar. Geschmeidig, cremig. Wirklich ein schöner tropfen. Wie so oft von Foursquare. In der Nachtverkostung bestätigt er sein Rating.

FSQ profile like from the books. (Just little bit more scratchy) ... Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.

Very dense and compacted initially, but with time and dilution to approximately 50% it opens nicely. Smell and taste was changing gradually for more than 1 hour. In the beginning mostly vanilla, cherries and dark chocolate. Then more and more floral and green tropical fruit notes. Worth trying more than once.
