The Rum Mercenary & Kintra DDL Sample X Enmore
Surprise here is how dark and dry a 10-year Enmore can drink. Wooden Coffey still gives espresso, charred oak and pencil shavings up front, with dried fruit, butterscotch and a little pineapple behind it. Several tasters find it strongly astringent and note the alcohol pokes through on the finish. A young Guyana single cask with plenty going on, not a soft one.

How does The Rum Mercenary & Kintra DDL Sample X Enmore taste?
Aggregated from 32 community reviews.
Dry, charred, espresso-heavy young Enmore Most rate it a good, complex young Enmore — dry, roasted, fruity. The recurring catch: heavy astringency and alcohol that isn't fully tucked in on the finish.

The alcohol could be a little better integrated. Now for its young age.... taken from 80€ A goodb8/10

Very impressive. Filled with ripe fruit on the verge of sauternes grapes. Lots of peatyness and a is. Very well crafted distinct rum.

Just had the excellent Worthy Park from Sample X before this. Might switch them around next time. This is a different beast. A complex rum, lots of different layers: fruits, spices, dry, peppery. A lot to discover. I like it, but it's still a bit closed off on some levels. Never had such a young Enmore btw. A promising mark. Will try and rate again soon.
Review by Rhum Mirror 🇧🇪
A creamy and concentrated nose of tropical fruits, delicately vanilla and cocoa. On the palate, the rum is peppery, then iodized, for a rather long finish, which marks the return of a slight bitterness (clove). A beautiful single cask that represents well the universe of Guyana. The profile clearly reminds me of Versailles. Nice Q/P ratio for 80 € !

This young Enmore is not bursting with aromas, it is quite light. I really like the nose, nice buttery sweetness, light wood, dried fruit and that musty old gauze smell. It has quite a dark flavor profile. The initial sweetness of butterscotch is quickly replaced by over toasted wood, espresso and pencil shavings, all very dry, which continues on the finish. I like it, if the charring wasn't so strong it would have been enough for more points.

Pleasant! greedy and woody profile, accompanied by sweet spices.

Blind tasting: Very good Enmore, unfortunately not my cup of tea. Somewhat smoky/alcoholic aftertaste
Review by Johannes
Very dry rum with clear bitter notes. Almost reminds me of Clarendon. Not really my cup of tea.

Blind tasting, so unfortunately the photo is not very informative. Brittle rum, not really my cup of tea.
