TCRL French West Indies VO (LMDW) #48
Most tasters land on the same read: a young, easygoing Martinique agricole that keeps things simple. Sugarcane, spice and cinnamon on the nose, then oak and a little leather on the palate, with yellow-fruit hints on the way out. One reviewer called it a "round, spicy starter agricole," and that fits — pleasant, no off-notes, though the 46% dilution and short finish keep it from going deeper.

Then a Transcontinental Line, usually very solid rums, including this Agricole. The first impression of the nose was very dark, but then sugar cane, agricole and spice emerged. On the palate, some leather and wood were added.
Review by Boletus
A simple, easy-drinking young Agricole with an appealing spiciness and a useful oak contribution. A little behind its potential due to the dilution, but free of unpleasant off-notes. The finish is unfortunately too short, but after some delay, sugar cane with hints of yellow fruit emerges from the cheeks, which I like.
