Alkohol viel besser eingebunden als bei dem HV Mhoba 2017. Der hier gefällt mir etwas besser, nur schade, dass er in Europa nicht zu bekommen ist. Nachtrag: „Kleines“ Mhoba Cross-Tasting 2025 Ein recht gezähmter Mhoba. Leckere, süße Nase, süß und röstig am Gaumen. Keine Ecken und Kanten. Geht in Richtung des Antipodes, aber nicht ganz so gut.

Good Mhoba with classic fruit aromas, flanked by some caramel and wood as well as crisp young wood. Quite offensive on the palate, the alcohol is evident but remains under control overall. Challenging, but still appealing.

#4650 09.03.2024 relaxing at home with some nice samples from Roberto. Nose Light wood, faint roasted, floral, dried fruit, light honey, sugarcane, light vegetal. Palate Wood, roasted, spicy, ester, fruity, light sugarcane, faint salt. Finish Long, wood, spicy, light roasted, fruity. Beautiful slow moving curtains in the glass. The empty glass has some light grass and faint caramel.

Probably due to the bourbon finish a not quite typical Mhoba with less fruity ester notes, but nevertheless a complex, beautiful rum.

Very fruity 2017 Mhoba with banana, vanilla bourbon, pineapple and peach.

A pretty violent Mhoba, with less fruit but actually more floral and with caramel, roasted notes, coffee/chocolate. Alcohol is quite present. Will probably do well in a cocktail.
