In the nose, a smell that I know from a good white wine and that reminds me somewhat of fresh cat urine. 😂 Sounds disgusting, but it is not.

Special and very unconventional profile. Blind I would never have come to Jamika. Relatively thin. Only at the end a few fruits come in. Otherwise, it tastes like a white wine that was in a Uitvlugt barrel. Does not appeal to me.

On the nose white peach, floral, fresh, like the Wohlmuth Sauvignon blanc from Styria which is just open 😅On the palate toasty, fruity. Bit thin, but again fits the 'light' nose.

18.06.2022 Running through some samples at home. Notes Medium dark in colour. Nose Light, fruity, light floral, polish, light smoke, light citrus, faint leather. Palate Light, light wood, faint smoke, light citrus, faint chocolate, light floral, faint caramel, light raisin. Finish Medium long, light, faint wood, light citrus, faint honey, light cherry, faint licorice. Extra note,. Would have loved to try this one at a higher ABV.

Relaxed Clarendon, as far as that is possible with Jamaica. The fruit remains naturally present even after dilution, paired with spices, some smoke and caramel. Overall too restrained, nothing exceptional sticks with me. While the barrel-strong sister release lacks the quite clean integration of the alcohol, here too much is smoothed out in the flavor spectrum by the reduction to drinking strength. Not a bad rum, but for me with almost zero Wiedererkennungseffelt.
