"Kennste einen Foursquare, kennste alle" is how one taster summed it up — a very classic Barbados profile of toasted oak, coconut, vanilla and a little dried fruit. Several liked it and called it complex, but at 61.1% the alcohol isn't perfectly tucked in, and a few missed real fruitiness. Give it 30 minutes to open up.

Great impression. I find out that there is usually no better Barbaros then from production of R.Seal and his FS. However there are exceptions like this one.

This is a good release and the price is pretty good compared to what you get. The Barbados flavours are there and I like the warm touch on the palate. The chocolate is far more obvious in the empty glass after a while. Nice and complex and I should have ordered a bottle but my budget ran out.

The aroma is average, but the taste is already developing classic Foursquare with wood, coconut and vanilla. I recommend letting it air out for longer (30 min +).

Klasse Rum, welcher von Anfang bis Ende mit Noten von Kokosnuss, Vanille und Holz besticht. Im Mund kommen noch Trockenfrüchte dazu, welche das ganze zu einem wirklich komplexen Rum machen. Das Alkohol ist für seine Stärke wirklich klasse eingebunden.

Reminds me of the 2008 ECS, which I like, but with more wood influence, a bit less well balanced because of that. Benefits with a bit of water, wood notes subdue and gain some nutty complexity

I've now reached the point where I can say that if you know one Foursquare, you know them all. As always, the quality and taste are very good, as was to be expected. For me, it ranks in the midfield compared to the many other Foursquares I've already had in my glass.

Zusammen mit RX1449 und RX18937 verkostet. Sehr typisches rundes Foursquare Profil. Im Vergleich zu den anderen erzielt er den mittleren Platz. Ist jetzt aber selbst im direkten Vergleich nicht gaz so einfach, die Unterschiede herauszuschmecken.

Im Foursquare Blind Tasting abgeschlagen auf dem letzten Platz gelandet. Sowohl an der Nase als auch am Gaumen passiert einfach viel zu wenig und dazu ist der Alkohol auch nicht sonderlich gut eingebunden. Aus meiner Sicht passt hier das PLV leider gar nicht. Für mich gibt es deutlich bessere Abfüllungen von RDL.

👃 = la noix de coco, la vanille, le boisé et le caramel se font sentir dans une belle douceur tropicale. 👄 = l'attaque est logiquement vive et on ajoute des fruits secs, du gras et un peu de miel ainsi qu'un alcool assez présent tout du long. Un rhum traditionnel de La Barbade de qualité mais l'alcool moyennement intégré risque d'en faire tousser quelques uns 😜

Seit langem habe ich mal wieder einen Foursquare im Glas. Der erste Eindruck an der Nase ist gemischt: Intensität ist da, Fass und Würze auch aber darüber schwebt eine Note die ich mangels einer besseren Bezeichnung als "Column Still" bezeichnen würde. Am Gaumen viel Betonung auf Fass, Würze und Röstnoten. Im Nachklang wärmend und mit intensiven Röstnoten. Irgendwie werde ich mit diesem Rum nicht warm - trotz der Intensität und trotz des 'warmenden' Charakters. Ich vermisse Fruchtigkeit. Trotzdem nicht schlecht aber die immer wiederkehrende Mischung aus Pott und Column Rum birgt wenig Potential für Überraschungen.

... Foursquare je destilerka z Barbadosu produkujici uzasne rumy ke kazdodennimu popijeni. Je to rum, ktery oceni zejmena rumari, kteri maji plne zuby cukru a hledaji jemny, nasladly rum plny kokosu, vanilky, cokolady a karamelu. Proste prijemne a nijak agresivni chute.

The flavor is inexpressive. It's prickly. Alcohol dominates. Caramel on warm biscuit, raisins, pastry spices. Sour-sweet wine barrel, angel's share. The flavor is alcoholic, some brandy, burning. I'm not thrilled with it. In the lingering finale, strong alcohol with who the fuck knows what. If in the aroma you can still understand something, but further swan to pike. I DON'T KNOW. Dark. Correct me if anything.
