Whisky AGE Hampden The Whisky Blues JMH 1992
Tropical fruit spills out of the glass — mango, pineapple, ripe banana — with only a light lick of polish and ester behind it. This is the softer, fruitier side of Hampden: 29 years old, cask strength but with the alcohol so well tucked in that several tasters barely flag the 57.7%. One member calls it his "favorite olive water" for the briny, vegetal streak that runs through. Give it air and a few drops of water.

How does Whisky AGE Hampden The Whisky Blues JMH 1992 taste?
Aggregated from 13 community reviews.
Fruity, aged Hampden with a briny olive streak A well-liked old Hampden most call fruity, rounded and beautifully integrated. The recurring gripe is that it lacks the depth of the 1990 vintage, and the olive-mushroom note isn't for everyone.

Very good Hampden. Lacks some of the depth of the 1990 vintage. Tropical fruit, nice dryness and spice. Fun to drink!

Seeehr seltsamer 92er vintage Hampden. Weiß nicht woher diese säuerlich, pelzige Pilz und Oliven Note herkommt aber das ist leider gar nicht mein Fall... Für Fans von mehr gemüsigen und salzigen Noten wiederum sicherlich sehr spannend. Mir etwas too much.

High end kontinentaler Hampden. Kaum etwas auszusetzen. Komplexer Abgang mit etwas Säure/grünen Früchten. Tolle Abfüllung.
Review by Mentalo
Der Alkohol ist überragend integriert. Die tropische Früchte kommen wunderbar zur Geltung. Etwas Holz. Gutes Wechselspiel aus Süße und Säure. Aber es fehlt etwas an Tiefe. Auch im Vergleich zu anderen Abfüllung des Jahrgangs.
Review by Basti
Sehr geile Nase, die immer wieder neue Aromen freigibt. Insgesamt ziemlich fruchtig und rund. Gefällt mir sehr gut. Alkohol top eingebunden.

my favorite olive water, getting better with more air in the bottle. great complexity with rotten fruits, vegetal notes, milk chocolate, creaminess, some wood but mich less than expected after so many years. everything is well integrated and it shows that these old Hampdens can carry the age easily. fantastic!
Review by Mopar Rules
an explosion of fruity notes both on nose and palate with only a hint of polish. A light and not heavy rum perfect for summer evenings. Still miss some complexity and depth
