Berry Bros & Rudd Hampden Berry‘s Own Selection Finest Jamaican Rum C<>H 1990

"Mild, very mild Hampden," one taster called it, and that's the story here: an old 1990 C<>H Hampden with all the pineapple, glue and tropical-fruit esters you expect, but dialed down. Several drinkers loved the smoothness and easy sipping at 46%; others found the dilution left it thin, watery, and short on the usual Hampden punch.

Aggregated from 34 community reviews.

Soft, fruity Hampden held back by dilution A genuinely good, elegant Hampden most people enjoyed sipping — but the recurring gripe is real: dilution makes it thin and a bit tame for a 1990 C<>H.

Perfect for

Hampden fans who prefer the softer, sippable side of high-ester Jamaica

Nachverkostung RumX Adventskalender, nummer 15 So macht Nachverkosten Spaß. Sehr lecker.

05.03.2016 Finally back in Kolding again after some years at Messe C in Fredericia. Much easier to get home when it's within walking distance. Had my good friend from Singapore visit for a month and that ended up in a lot of tasting 😊 This was a bottle i brought and it ended up empty before the day was over. Notes. Nose: overripe fruits, banana, light wood, ester, glue. Palate: balanced, fresh, intense, citrus, banana, caramel, light medicinal, light roasted wood. Finish: lightly dry, wood, light smoke, ester, fruits.
