Anyone who loves orchard-fruit Jamaican funk will feel at home here. This 14-year Clarendon leans green apple, pear and calvados, with menthol, spice and a whiff of honey underneath. Several tasters call it surprisingly fruity and light for the strength, though a few noted the 58% isn't fully tucked away. Give it 20-30 minutes in the glass to open up.

Aroma: subtle, spicy, sweetness of fresh cane, light honey-berry, very intense, caramel. Taste: bread sweet, citrus, powerful, spicy, very dense, very tasty. Clarendon Geisha is more original and very tasty, thin, fresh and berry, top. Аромат: тонкий, пряный, сладость свежего тростника, лёгкий медово-ягодный, очень интенсивный, карамелька. Вкус: хлебный сладкий, цитрусовый, мощный, пряный, очень плотный, вкусный прям очень. Clarendon Geisha пособранней и очень вкусный, тонкий, свежий и ягодный, топчик.

#4626 24.02.2024 Great tasting event at Whisky Watcher with food and lots of bottles. Nose Light roasted wood, fruits, spice, esters, herbs. Palate Round, light roasted wood, ester, spice, faint honey, citrus. Finish Medium to long, wood, dry, citrus, light herbs.

A rum tasted in the restaurant of bottler Sansibar. A calvados nose with wood and pineapple. The palate also gives an impression of calvados with steroids, a pear side too, spices and like an aftertaste of incense. The rum is long, with pear and a hint of smoky wood. The empty glass leaves an impression of a Norman church. A beautiful label and a fine rum!

Very fruity, nice apple in the nose and on the palate, surprisingly light and delicious. Maybe I'll buy another bottle.

At the community tasting in Nuremberg, I was introduced to the world of Clarendon and learned to love it. For me, the differences between the 7 different bottlings were rather small. I liked them all. It was probably more due to the quantity that I couldn't really distinguish anything. I will taste them all again individually at my leisure.
