A pretty good Saint James. The typical notes are there and I really like the light coffee note in the profile. ABV is pretty well integrated but could have been better. Draws really nice curtains in the glass and the empty glass reveals even more notes like nutts and light ginger.

Sehr leckerer Saint James der nicht mehr ABV benötigt. Kraftvoll in der Nase mit Kirsche und Honig. Karamell, Lakritze und Holz im Geschmack. Ein bisschen Bitterkeit (sehr angenehm) im Abgang.

Toller Rum, dem die Trinkstärke sehr gut zu Gesichte steht. Sehr rund und dabei ebenso kräftig wie abwechslungsreich im Geschmack. Schlägt sich auch im Direktvergleich mit St. James-Abfüllungen mit höherem Alkoholgehalt hervorragend.

Mittlerweile bin ich ein Fan von den Saint James Agricoles. Und dieser reiht sich da mühelos ein. Die Nase ist süß/sauer fruchtig mit etwas Fass und Leder. Am Gaumen ein angenehm ledriges, holziges und würziges Aromenspiel. Die 45% stehen ihm außerordentlich gut und er muss sich gegen seine stärkeren Brüder nicht verstecken! Klasse Abfüllung

Sehr leckerer leicht zu trinkener Rum, welcher aber trotzdem komplexe Aromen bietet. Mir hätte etwas mehr Power gut gefallen, wirkt vor allem hinten raus doch etwas dünn. Ob es an der Magnum Flasche liegt.. 😅

On revisiting this bottle, while I still rate this rum highly, there is a slight bitter astringency at the back of the palate that I haven’t figured out quite yet in the finish.

Un peu fermé au nez, sans doute trop réduit, très boisé, vernis élégant. Légère astringence sur la fin de bouche qui soutient le tout. Par contre c’est très aromatique pour pour 45%. Un peu trop peu de fruits pour avoir une bonne note.
