Enmore Rum Artesanal Guyana Rum REV 1994
Prunes, leather and old cedar wood, with dark chocolate, licorice and tobacco underneath — thick, oily, and heavy like a sherry. This 1994 Enmore REV wins people over with how well the 51.4% alcohol hides and how balanced it stays. A few taste tobacco, tar and a musty edge too. Fruit lovers note there's dried, not fresh, fruit here.

How does Enmore Rum Artesanal Guyana Rum REV 1994 taste?
Aggregated from 101 community reviews.
Oily, plum-and-leather Enmore, deep and balanced Loved almost across the board as a top-tier REV — oily, complex, beautifully integrated alcohol. The main quibble: it's dark and bitter-leaning, so those wanting bright fruit may want more.
Demerara fans who love dark, woody, tobacco-heavy sippers

Absolute top representative of the REVs. Plum, leather, licorice, oak, a hint of tobacco - and all in an almost perfect balance. The REV profile, which is already inspiringly profound in itself, is in top form here. An exquisite pleasure.

A rum to fall in love with...

In the blind comparison has for me just the RA compared to the VM the nose in front! For me the REV 94 benchmark!

Very good, tasty Enmore REV. Pleasant to drink.Leather, Tobacco, black tea, wood, dried fruits in the nose. Complex and delicious in mouth, where you‘ll find all the tastes from before. Finish is medium long, dry and very elegant.I really like this one a lot!Alcohol is integrated very well. 1st place of my enmore tasting!

REV-1994-Tasting on 12.10.2024 Here's my ranking (nose and palate impressions each accounted for 50% of the overall rating, in the event of a tie the length of the finish was decisive, as was the case with ranks 1-3, which were incredibly close together): 1ST RX12425 2ND RX121 3. RX11107 4. RX21851 5. RX12203 6. 11402 Attention, daily form should not be underestimated!

My first Versailles back in that time. What could be a better start ? Amazing balance between dried fruits, wood, walnuts, hazelnuts, dark chocolate, orange, ...
Review by Mirco
Insane rum. One of the top 5 REV. I like this Rev a little better than the successor Rum Artesanal Rev bottling. It seems a little more balanced than its older brother. Complaining at a very high level. Both sensational bottlings, of course.

Very good, very deep demerara. Mature.

Great Emnore but few years and alcohol volume missing compared to Velier Demerara. Edit - great profile, integrated alcohol, learher , little sweet, amazing! If just the taste would be 30% more intense. .. Enmore - drive destilerka, nyni uz jen funkcni destilacni zarizeni. Rumy Enmore totiz maji prichut popelu, kuze, tezkeho dreva, coz nadchne zejmena milovniky nakourenych whisky. A pokud tradicnim Guyanskym zpusobem prida vyrobce do rumu trochu melasy, mate v lahvi unikatni velmi vyrazny a tezky rum. Jeden z mych oblibenych.

Excellent Enmore that has just the right woodiness. Almost perfectly integrated alcohol. Lots of leather, steak on the finish.

Again after 9 months:A wonderful, spicy and strong woody nose. Got some old, resinous cedar here. A light mint note comes, but also sweetness and dark fruits. Prune, blackberry, maple syrup. Tobacco, leather. And interesting: malty, like malt beer.Incredibly complex and full-bodied on the palate. Toasty, malty. Leather. And then mint again. Dark fruit again, blackberry and cassis. Slightly salty-bitter and dark chocolate with some licorice.Nice long finish, mint, prune, wood.Indeed, an outstanding rum!!!!
Review by crazyforgoodbooze
more beautiful than the new Rev! Much more fruit, less bitter ,simply more complex and harmonious.

Wood, leather, licorice, prune and tea. Lovely Enmore. Many thanks for the sample Artur!

9,3:On the nose, charred wood with roasted nuts, leather, spicy with allspice, dark molasses with licorice, black tea, flowery and minty, earthy with tobacco, citrus, dried fruits like prunes and figs, red fruits and cherries, metallic patina, bump in our nosetrils. On aeration, black berry and plums are out, the molasses is still fresh, pencil shavings join, smoky tones with coffee, burnt sugar and caramel, very round, enticing. 8,9:On the palate, the attack is thick with charred oak notes like burnt sugar, dark chocolate, leather, spicy and salty, the molasses is slightly bitter, dark with licorice, black tea, earthy with tobacco, a bit flowery, the fruits are dried and citrus and on aeration, menthol shows up. 9,1:The finish is balanced, dry and tannic, long, the oak is toasted, spicy with anise and smoky with various notes like toffee, coffee, leather, nuts, sourdough bread, dark chocolate, pairing earthy molasses with tobacco, pencil shavings, musty, dark with licorice, black tea, flowery and vegetal, metallic patina and menthol, dried fruits..

Review by Rodolphe
Review by Leo Krüper
In the REV tasting (Samaroli, VM, RC) came off as the loser. Seems darker, more tobacco, some licorice, older and more mature. Strong bitter notes.
Review by Lukas Jäger
Wunderbar komplexer Rum!

The REV profile is one of the most impressive profiles that Guyana, or rather Enmore, has to offer. And this is one of their top representatives. It smells of plum, leather and tobacco. In the mouth, smooth, oily flavours of fresh tobacco, dried fruits and wood.
Review by tojo
The Enmore REV is a great Guyana representative. Heavy, oily, dried fruit, raisins, licorice. On the palate, leather, tobacco and roasted flavors are added. Would certainly fit super to the cigar!

Was ein Brett - der macht richtig Spaß, ein überragender VSG, komplexes Geschmacksprofil, ganz viel Pflaume, Tabak, Karamell - öllig, lederig, sehr geil...

Tasting right after Samaroli 94. This one is much more balanced from nose to finish, very elegant. The nose starts with fresh wood raisin, vanilla, red fruit, then the Guyanese wood. On palate there are some herbs and bitterness of course, but not as much as with Samaroli. Some sweetness shines through. Very balanced and a very exciting experience. Your hand reaches for the glass by itself. Very happy I ordered this sample twice by mistake from two people. Thanks JakobM for this one!
Review by Stylo
Truly a gem. Plums, raisins, dried figs..all wonderfully paired with spices (licorice and aniseed) and a fresh touch of menthol..oily and extremely smooth, tasting it reveals notes of dark chocolate, wood and a little bit of coffee, together with lots of spices. I just wish I had the chance to secure a bottle!

The nose starts with fresh wood, raisins, vanilla, red fruits, then the wood from Guyana. On the palate, there are of course some herbs and bitterness, but not that much. A certain sweetness shines through. Very balanced and a very exciting experience. Would love a few bottles of this😪
Review by Agricoler
Small REV tasting. Wonderful REV. For me the fruitiest of the 3 representatives and above all the one with the best integrated alcohol. The consistent plum note is really beautiful. I find this REV simply unbelievably round because it illuminates all sides perfectly.

Simply good 👍🏻
Review by Alexander Rasch
I knew so far only the 2006 REV and this is then but another league. Thick, intense and oily. Lots of dried fruit, wood leather and a certain musty note. Alcohol perfectly integrated. The nose a dream, the palate complex and much barrel. Great rum. Am very grateful to have found an affordable sample.
Review by Daniel

Licorice, leather, dried fruit. In direct comparison with RX7789 quite similar and equally good. Top REV
Review by Alex1981
Another solid REV, a bit more easy drinking and less complex. Still great stuff!
Review by Adrianv
Typical REV, coffee, prunes and spicy tones on nose, I expected more intensive nose but after half an hour in glass it starts pouring. Complex on palate, chocolate, coffe, plum, black tea, oak notes, some bitterness but very gentle. Alcohol well integrated. Great rum, pricey however.
