Un rhum goûté au Lucerne Gin and Rum Festival en 2024. Un nez marqué par les épices, le brûlé, du végétal, du goudron d’isolation et des fruits tropicaux dont la mangue. Les arômes emplissent de suite la bouche avec du rôti, de la colle, des épices avec du poivre et de la muscade. Un côté mentholé donne à ce rhum toute sa fraîcheur, fraîcheur qui persiste en finale avec un côté amer et poivré. Un rhum dégusté avec le sélectionneur de ce fût et il l’a trouvé spécialement atypique pour qu’il soit mis en bouteille pour la maison Hofer.

Super funky Stoff hier aus st. Lucia. Geschmacklich komplett anders wie alles bisherige aus st.lucia weil 100% sugarcane/Agricole. An der Nase fantastisch fruchtig nach Ananas, Limettenabrieb und karamellisierter Banane, etwas Maracuja mit Minze und leicht florale Anklänge. Geschmacklich dann deutlich frischer und trockener und kräftiger als erwartet... würzig, säuerlich-frisch, fruchtig und bitter zugleich. Im Abgang kommt Menthol und leicht verbrannter Fahrradschlauch/Gummi mit durch sowie etwas Bitterorange. Sehr abgefahren und spannend und definitiv mal was anderes aus St. Lucia! Für eine höhere Bewertung müsste er etwas harmonischer sein aber für den muss man schon echt Bock und Zeit für haben! 😅

Zeigt tatsächlich eine starke Agricole-Aromatik, Nougatsüsse, Holz, Gewürze, dezente Trockenfrüchte. Schönes Release, wenn auch sehr unüblich für St. Lucia.
